Mabel's Vintage Tearooms

Return visit after a very long absence! Our family loved the tea and gorgeous surroundings. Delicious tea served on pretty vintage crockery in a charming room. A special mention to the delightful staff who made us feel so welcome thank you.

We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon tea for a party of 24. The staff were accommodating and attentive, catering to the needs of two vegans and one gluten-free individual with tasty sandwiches and cakes. The ambiance of the room was lovely and the service was both friendly and professional.

This is my second visit to Mabel’s and I can honestly say it was just as good as the first! The staff are friendly, welcoming and so helpful. The tea room is cute and the food divine! Brilliant value for money and I can’t wait to go back! Thank you Martine for all your help with our dietary requirements!

I recently visited Mabel's Vintage Tearooms with a group of friends, vegetarians and one vegan. Nobody missed out. Everyone was well catered for. The sandwiches, scones and cakes/desserts were absolutely delicious and fresh. They also had beautiful gardens to stroll around. Service was brill. I would def recommend. FYI no walk ins, needs to be booked in advance

This restaurant offers a wonderfully vintage and beautiful atmosphere to enjoy some delicious tea and cakes. A group of 8 of us had Afternoon Teas and were extremely pleased with everything. Martine and her team took care of our dietary restrictions with great care, and we enjoyed leisurely indulging in the delicious food. The sandwiches were tasty and larger than anticipated, and the cakes, scones, and chocolate-dipped strawberries were all delightful. I would highly recommend this place as a special spot to enjoy a lovely afternoon tea.

Honestly an amazing afternoon, we held my cousins hen do at the tea rooms and after months of planning it finally went ahead last weekend. Martine and her team were brilliant, so accommodating, welcoming, friendly and did anything to make our experience pleasurable. We had a lovely table outside under a gazebo which Martine arranged for us, she was totally flexible with us bringing decorations and making the table ‘hen do ready’! The food was so good, best afternoon tea I’ve ever had, everything was fresh and well prepared. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, lovely afternoon and thank you to Martine and her team for making our afternoon so special.

We recently visited Mabel's tearoom to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday and were blown away by the exceptional service and food. My 8-year-old daughter, who has a dairy allergy, was delighted to find a fantastic variety of scones and cakes that catered to her dietary needs. The staff even went above and beyond to make her a delicious dairy-free hot chocolate. In comparison to our experiences at 5-star hotels, the scones and cakes at Mabel's were superior in taste and quality. My mother opted for the Gentleman's afternoon tea, which she found to be a perfect balance of flavors, as she prefers less sweetness. Mabel’s is an absolutely lovely, local and really personal jewel in Bushey’s crown. Special birthdays and a pandemic don’t exactly make for a great mix. So with no travel, restaurants closed and limited guests I was struggling to find something special to help celebrate my wife’s 50th when I found that Mabel’s Vintage Tea Rooms provided a ‘Tea at Home’ service a traditional premium afternoon tea, with custom sandwiches, pastries, cakes and other treats.
