One was served in a small goblet that you couldn’t get your spoon into. The Basil and Strawberry dessert tasted primarily of basil with little evidence of strawberry. Overnight guests had to walk though the room where the tea was being served making the room feel like a corridor. Overall there was nothing to tempt us back."

Goldsborough Hall is tucked away in beautiful gardens countryside. We had a warm welcome and enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in the elegant dining room enjoying the delightful views.

The 6-course tasting menu priced at 80 pounds per person did not meet our expectations in terms of taste and value. The food was average and not particularly memorable. We believe that the price should have been significantly lower in order for us to consider returning or recommending the restaurant. However, the ambience, service, and drinks were excellent, making it unfortunate that the food and pricing did not measure up.
