"The dishes were carefully prepared and had some interesting pairings. I usually do not eat raw fish and my husband generally does not like salmon; but the salmon star was absolutely delicious. As much as we enjoyed the food and wine, we really appreciated the warm personality of our server (sorry, we did not receive its name). But he was very friendly and made us very welcome in the restaurant. Even when we were the last in the restaurant to finish, he insisted that we do not rush our meal and just enjoy it at our own pace. We enjoyed the experience in this restaurant as a whole and would recommend others."

"Bella scoperta quasi per caso. Lodevole lo scopo di natura solidale con i 'meno fortunati ' diciamo. Locale pulito, non troppo grande in un bel contesto in mezzo alla natura (bosco). Possibilità anche di mangiare all 'esterno Prodotti semplici ma molto buoni e servizio puntuale. Ottimo lo gnocco fritto prodotto da loro. Apprezzata la qualità nostrana dei prodotti cucinati. Da consigliare e chapeau a chi l 'ha aperto"

"describe the beauty of the restaurant, the friendliness of the owner and his collaborators, the food and wine paper is almost difficult. I allow myself to write that everything was perfect. from the earth was seen all varese unlimited and in the distance there were also the airport, a surreal postcard of beauty. at the entrance we were greeted by the owner mario carabelli schef stellato and excellent sommelier. food of first choice with subtle contrast and refined in its courses accompanied by excellent matched wine. the quality and choice of wines, varies to degrees throughout the national territory. and praise. impeccable service of friendly and efficient staff with great competence. accessibility to disabled people, for all services. quality price in perfect order to the quality provided. maximum confidentiality with possibility of having private rooms. to conclude there is the possibility to stay as the restaurant is also hotel. "The drive up Sacro Monte ti get to the restaurant needs to be taken calmly, especially if you're unused to steep twisting, narrow roads. It's nothing to be took concerned about, just don't rush into the corners Once you get to the to you'll see parking on the (right hand) side of the road. Be careful to pay attention to the parking signs as the section closest to the top is not for casual visitors, just disabled and locals. Get a parking ticket. The 400-500m walk up and over the crest of the hill followed by the slope down to the restaurant is on cobblestones so if it's wet or you're unsteady make sure you get some support. The view is worth the effort. The outside deck of the restaurant seats about 25-30 people and commands a beautiful view. One of our party was sensitive to the warm sunshine so we sat itside (but, of course, took the obligatory photos from an empty space between the occupied tables. Simple, but effective, dishes with locally sourced fresh ingredients were the stand out. Truffles, wild boar (cinghiale), with pasta or polenta were the reason we came, and have been coming back for whenever we come back. The atmosphere was, as always, convivial and bustling. My suggestions- a bit more seasoning might have brought out more of the flavours; and were the place just a little busier then even the only (excellent) waitress would not have been able to keep up. As always, an excellent overall experience. Will be back again"

"at the borducan we had the opportunity to stay for a night (with breakfast) and dinner by candlelight. everything perfect, impeccable service (both for breakfast and for dinner) and very kind staff. the spacious room (as well as the bathroom with a large bathroom), with a nice loft and above all a breathtaking view of the lake. It is a historic place in Art Nouveau style, where you can breathe an air of other times, where the rhythms are slow and silent. is located in the fascinating place of the sacred mountain and if you want to take a walk to the sanctuary (which is part of the monk's monks) not far away, have comfortable shoes or better trekking. There are several nature trails to do. definitely not suitable for everyone, parking is not very close (if you are not accommodated in the hotel) and therefore heels are definitely not recommended. the dinner was definitely very chic, with refined products and special but cool combinations; the choice on the menu is not very wide but contained much of the palates. prices are quite high but it is really a wonderful experience. breakfast is definitely the thing we liked most, served at the table will arrive a fantastic saddle with croissant, sandwiches of all kinds, sliced and cheese (we did not know we would find all this) and also at the time of arrival is asked to fill a sheet in which to indicate preferences between juices, jogurt, cereals and much more. simply sublime. Recommended experience to do once in life."
