About 30 years ago lido used to have a different daily menu for each day of the week and , priced in pesetas, it was a real steal. We revisited this year as under a change of ownership they have reintroduced a food menu. The set menu varies in price lunch, evening and weekends) We ate here in an evening . We has a selection of tapas, ham with tomato bread, gambas in olive oil and a salad of goats cheese portions were large and fresh. a delicious Crema Catalan followed and we washed it down with a couple of glasses of red wine and coffees. The price was a very reasonable 40 € (given that we had both ham and gambas). Good value and a welcome addition to the places to eat in St Pere

After a 30 minute bicycle ride to try and cleanse the new years eve alcohol vapors one needs some salty, spicy, carbs and small portion of protein to restore energy and eliminate the rest of the hangover. Not all that many places were open in the area, luckily lido was. The place looks simple and authentic and four wolvishly hungry adults after a bike ride walk into the restaurant and are overwhelmed by the smells and tapes menu. Our Catalan friend does the ordering (had it been me I'd probably have ordered the entire menu) and we are served 5 or 6 tapes plates, each and every one perfect! The bill too was perfect.
