L'Hermitage Gantois

Scallop starter comprising of two small ones burnt on one side with not much else on the plate. Lamb supposedly cooked on the bone was lifeless and sauce oily. Great hotel (although overpriced) but avoid restaurant

The food and service were excellent. I am absolutely sure that the kitchen was very clean because normally in France you don’t get that much quality of service however this restaurant and the menu you were excellent

We were a little hesitant in eating at the hotel restaurant as it seemed a little quiet but we were so glad we did. The food was superb .beautifully presented and the best meal we had on our visit to Lille. Service was also great . Would thoroughly recommend. Voir le carte

We enjoyed dining at this restaurant during our recent visit to Lille. The food was very good, and while we weren’t overly adventurous with our selections, the meals were very good. The staff were attentive and polite. The restaurant is in a quaint part of the building which adds to the atmosphere. Thanks for your vote.

Ce n'est vraiment pas bon, service déplorable, le mcdo mérite plus d'étoiles. Parlons que j'ai commandé un turtel touiste que j'ai une pizza hawaienne, ne parle pas des cheveux dans la soupe, un grand classique. Pour finir le restaurant craint, mais j'ai mis des étoiles pour la serveuse qui est mon foie plutôt bien garni, ne serait-elle pas une bombe (h) haha

Très déçu. Nous sommes venus avec un couple pour un évènement musical (Très bien d'ailleurs) et avions décidé de prendre un verre et des planches apéritives avant. 40 mn pour obtenir nos verres ! Quand à notre planche de fromage et celle de charcuterie chacune à 21 €, la quantité comme la qualité n'étaient pas du tout à la hauteur de l'établissement ! Food: 1 Voir le carte

We arrived at the hotel around midday and were too early to check in so we decided to have lunch in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant is located in an elegant and historic room. We both chose a rabbit dish. It was very well cooked and presented. There was a good wine list and the prices were commensurate with the standard of the restaurant. The service was excellent. A very enjoyable lunchtime.

What a beautiful hotel, steeped in history. Used the valet parking for ease a bit expensive but great service. Standard rooms a little on the small size and not quite sure about the mix of old and new furniture. Ask for a room away from the atrium, newer rooms by the spa. Only negatives were breakfast was not included and quite pricey if you wanted to add it and it’s a good 20-25min walk to the old town. I guess one of the drawbacks of Tripadvisor is the tricky topic of value for money. It is this discrepancy that forces me to downgrade the star rating of an otherwise excellent place. L 'Hermitage Gantois is a beautifully situated dining area in an old refectory perhaps? in this 5* hotel. It is a pleasant and well appointed dining room. We chose it for a special occasion as it carries a Michelin Bib Gourmand. My wife and I booked at the last minute so hadn 't put a lot of thought into the choices before we went to dine.
