Eating on the terrasse, below the castle of Castelnau, overlooking the Dordogne valley, is a real treat! Pizzas and mixed salads are excellent and the service very friendly.

Excellet food at a good price with great service and an attentive staff. The view from the terrace dining at sunset is spectacular, and the playground they maintain is an added bonus

Manger en terrasse, en dessous du château de Castelnau, avec vue sur la vallée de la Dordogne, est un véritable régal ! Les pizzas et les salades composées sont excellentes et le service très sympathique.

Mon mari et moi avons opté pour le menu du jour en trois services à 16,50 euros et c'était présenté de manière élégante, et chaque plat était excellent. Le personnel était toujours aux petits soins et souriant en tout temps.

We were looking for different restaurant, but eventually it was closed (though it should be open)So this one was a "second choice ". But in no way it was "second choice " in quality of food. The food quality was excellent. According to my friend, it is the best restaurant in France. It is a hard judgement, but it is certainly one of the best. I am planning on coming back.

We had lunch here last week. What Beilliant service, waiters made every attempt without being intrusive to help us with menu. Food was amazing, steak cooked to perfection, fries delicious and sides. House Wine was well worth drinking, fantastic surroundings. We were the last to leave at lunch time but no sense of rushing from waiters. Would definitely visit again and soon.

Nous avons appelé spontanément en passant à l'heure du déjeuner. On nous a offert une table en extérieur sous un auvent avec de belles vues sur la campagne. Nous avons opté pour des pizzas car nous avions mangé beaucoup de plats locaux riches et elles étaient excellentes avec une base fine et croustillante et beaucoup de garnitures de qualité. Le personnel était poli et efficace.

We have tried to eat here several times when visiting the castle which towers above it. Each time it has either been full or closed! So, it is advisable to book aheadThe four of us were not hugely hungry so we shared our two covers between us. The staff were happy to do this. The service was friendly and efficient throughout. In fact the servings - salade nordique and assiette bergere - were ample.

We visited the Restaurant with friends for a 'catch up' evening meal. The setting was beautiful...we watched the sun go down as we ate. The service was very good and the waiters spoke English as well as French. The menu was comprehensive and catered for all ages and tastes. The food was delicious....good quantities, great quality and served promptly. Booking recommended as this restaurant is very popular!
