We took the degustation menu, which is the only option available and were not disappointed. Innovative cooking, well meriting the Michelin star.

We stayed at Chalet Mounier and ate here on our first night. There were 4 of us. The food, service, and entire experience was impeccable! We had the several-several course tasting, and all of us enjoyed every part of it!

Best service, food quality in the area. Stayed in the hotel for a week, we’re flabbergasted by the service and food in the “common” restaurant (had half-board arrangement), and topped our stay off with a dinner at Le P’tite Polyte. Superb!

Wonderful valentines dinner. Reasonable price for a michelin star restaurant, and very good wine list. Food was very good and service was very attentive, really can’t fault it. Only slight thing would be that I found the duck Margret a bit chewy tough when I expected it to be more soft but that maybe just a personal taste? All in all a wonderful meal, thank you for a great experience great to try something different after having cheese fondue raclette most other nights.

Une deuxième étoile Michelin doit bientôt arriver. Ce fut un plaisir du début à la fin. Nous venons au Chalet Mounier depuis 27 ans et c'est un tel plaisir de voir qu'il se renforce sous la direction d'Alban. Chaque membre du personnel a apporté du flair et de l'intérêt à son service. Cristalle savait que nous avions un ascenseur à prendre et elle y était dès le début. Franck au bar était compétent, bavard et engagé. Le sommelier a donné d'excellentes indications sur le vin et le fromage. Il n'y a pas de plus grand défi pour une cuisine que de commander le menu dégustation végétarien : chaque plat était frais et intense. Il n’y a pas eu de cours perdus. Bravo!

Le P'Tit Polyte est situé dans une petite salle à l'arrière (environ 6 à 7 tables) au-delà de la salle à manger principale de l'hôtel Chalet Mounier. Quelques membres de notre groupe Trek Travel ont choisi de découvrir ce restaurant raffiné et sont heureux de l'avoir fait, deux d'entre nous ayant choisi le menu à base de poisson le plus cher et un troisième le menu de viande. Les 8 ou 9 plats étaient excellents, le serveur nous expliquant chaque plat au fur et à mesure de sa livraison. Nous avons évité le forfait vin et avons simplement pris un seul verre de vin avec le repas. I didn’t stay in this hotel, but rather came to enjoy the dinner at Le P’tit Polyte, ran by chef Tanguy Rattier. It is rated as a 1-star Michelin restaurant, but I would easily give it a 2-star rating. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was impeccable. From the moment you enter the hotel, you are greeted by a receptionist who’ll answer all of your questions and will show around the lobby and the patio area. The patio is overlooking Venosc valley- truly the best view you can get in Les Deux Alps.
