"Located at Romerhof and at the side of the DolderBahn entrance, Le Pain Qoutidien has a large sidewalk seating area which is popular and nice on warm days, but currently and during the weekdays it is very noisy due to all the construction at the intersection. The interior is nice with the all wood furniture and large windows allowing in lots of natural lighting. They offer a walk-up counter where you can order items for take-away from the very nicely displayed treats. My waitress was nice. Their menu consists of Mezze, salads, breads, pastries, snacks, veggie items and hot/cold beverages. They offer free Wi-Fi, daily newspapers, TV, high stools, a self-serve pitcher of water available at the counter, classical music playing in the background, high stools, and a baby changing station near the clean restrooms. Things just did not seem organized. I could not figure out why my hot chocolate beverage was taking so long as others that ordered beverages after me were being served. After approaching a ten minute wait, the waitress advised me the chocolate was too hard; therefore, they were currently not able to serve the hot chocolate. I was also informed when I placed my order that even though they have soy milk and lactose-free milk on the menu, there would still be some percentage of regular milk mixed in with my milk substitute. What? I don't really understand how they seemed rather un-prepared for business, especially since the place just opened for business as I was the second person walking in their business at opening. I have never been told at any café when I ordered a milk substitute that regular milk would also be included in the final product. Is it that difficult to serve a milk substitute product on your menu without still having to add in regular milk? What gives! I settled for a hot tea (6.80CHF) which was at the rather pricey range for a basic, non-descript tea and this not being my original choice. When you have ordered hot chocolate it is quite a disappointment to be later told it is not available. When I have visited other such places of business and been told my selection was not available, I walked away. I am seriously wondering if I should have done the same here.I would say based on my original selection not being offered and the price of the substituted tea, I would not return for a future visit."
Zurich, Suisse, est un centre financier dynamique avec une vieille ville pittoresque. Les plats typiques incluent le Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, un plat de veau crémeux, et le Rösti, galettes de pommes de terre croustillantes.
