"Located at Romerhof and at the side of the DolderBahn entrance, Le Pain Qoutidien has a large sidewalk seating area which is popular and nice on warm days, but currently and during the weekdays it is very noisy due to all the construction at the intersection. The interior is nice with the all wood furniture and large windows allowing in lots of natural lighting. They offer a walk-up counter where you can order items for take-away from the very nicely displayed treats. My waitress was nice. Their menu consists of Mezze, salads, breads, pastries, snacks, veggie items and hot/cold beverages. They offer free Wi-Fi, daily newspapers, TV, high stools, a self-serve pitcher of water available at the counter, classical music playing in the background, high stools, and a baby changing station near the clean restrooms. Things just did not seem organized. I could not figure out why my hot chocolate beverage was taking so long as others that ordered beverages after me were being served. After approaching a ten minute wait, the waitress advised me the chocolate was too hard; therefore, they were currently not able to serve the hot chocolate. I was also informed when I placed my order that even though they have soy milk and lactose-free milk on the menu, there would still be some percentage of regular milk mixed in with my milk substitute. What? I don't really understand how they seemed rather un-prepared for business, especially since the place just opened for business as I was the second person walking in their business at opening. I have never been told at any café when I ordered a milk substitute that regular milk would also be included in the final product. Is it that difficult to serve a milk substitute product on your menu without still having to add in regular milk? What gives! I settled for a hot tea (6.80CHF) which was at the rather pricey range for a basic, non-descript tea and this not being my original choice. When you have ordered hot chocolate it is quite a disappointment to be later told it is not available. When I have visited other such places of business and been told my selection was not available, I walked away. I am seriously wondering if I should have done the same here.I would say based on my original selection not being offered and the price of the substituted tea, I would not return for a future visit."

If u're looking "the" best place to have the best breakfast or brunch with best pain au chocolat and croissant, don't look further. This is the place to choose.

I remember that it was a bit expensive, but tasty and quick service I like that they are showing a bit a French look for the pastry, that makes you have good impression of the original French cousin

Nice breakfast, lot of options, but coffee is really disappointing. They have a proper machine but you could tell that there are no proper Batista's making the coffee (milk is not properly steamed, flat white tastes like a cappucino etc.

I was there only once for breakfast.. I thought the service was not slow, though it was really busy, they didn't have menu in english but the staff tried to help, and so is my friend. I thought it was a nice atmosphere, and nice breakfast.. Voir le carte

Great for a snack or light brunch. Attentive service and a bustling atmosphere made it an attractive place to choose. It's an inexpensive place to enjoy meeting friends or just sitting down with your laptop. There are lovely healthy options on the menu & a great range of drinks. Definitely recommend it for a lovely place to stop for a lunchtime break.

Everything ok so so, but can be improved. Waitresses seem sometimes not to be able to remember orders....... but very friendly service. Good location and interesting way to serve coffee in a bowl. Only problem is that in some places at the back when there is a hot day there appears to be some insects or flies ......오직 문제는 뒤쪽의 더운 날이있는 곳에서 곤충이나 파리가있는 것처럼 보입니다.

Severely overrated and overpriced. Scrambled eggs were served cold and unfortunately reminded of hotel food instead of a nice bakery-restaurant. Eggs-Benedict-nature (no ham) was first served with ham, then without sauce and on a poor piece of bread. The price at the end did not make sense. If I visit again, i will need some convincing to order anything more than a coffee. Voir le carte

We were looking for a breakfast place midweek, which is a little difficult in Zürich, but we found this place, and loved it. The bread is organic and delicious, and the coffee was served French style in a small or a big bowl, which is very comforting. We like soya milk, which was available (unusual for Zürich), and the staff were very helpful, kind and accommodating. Food was great.

Compared to other branches in other cities, the Zürich branch is more or less similar except we have noticed that quantities were smaller and especially when weighed against the cost.. this could account for the fact that it is less busy.. nothing new was added in the item menu just the regular dishes.. not much was on display as for pastries and breads.. there is ample room for improvement in atmosphere, quality, quantity and variations..
