"Reason for Visit:Chose to have lunch here as it was close to where I was staying and TA listed. One is spoilt for eating choice in this part of Paris 15.First Impressions:The outside is typical French shabby looking facade with windows full of stickers but upon entering one is rather surprised by the more elegant looking dining area. Unusualy for modern day restaurants, the tables even have table clothes, albeit with a glass covering and an attractive table layout of crockery,glassware and cutlery.Surprisingly busy for the first day open in July with so many people away on holiday.No English spoken but made to feel welcome which is not always the case in French let along Paris restaurants.The Food:A set menu available which unfortunatly I could not sample as it is explained to you rather than printed out. I managed to translate a fair amount of the set courses available and chose "snail ravioli in cream sauce " followed by "sea bass in a fish sauce", mashed potatoes, with ample bread and a 1/2 bottle of still water.Whilst the sauces were not exactly to my taste the dishes were both enjoyed and for quality of taste , presentation and portion size.Service:My general experience of French restaurants is that waiters seem to operate on the system that they are paid to take an order as quickly as is possible, bring the dishes to the table and that is the extent of their brief. A smile, charm and offers of assistance does not come into it even if they have a basic understanding of English. On this occasion although the server ( A. Martinez ) who it turned out "surprise surprise" is in partnership with the chef ( G. Allais,) could not have been more helpfull and effecient, despite his lack of English.Value:My Paris lunch in very nice surroundings, with a view to the goings on in the street came to Euros 20 which I considered to be excellent value for money.Overall:Would definately visit again next time in Paris."

I found the map really interesting for fans of traditional French cuisine. Even if the prices are a bit high, the choice of wines makes it possible to have fun. Ideal for a family dinner.

Malgré l'extérieur sous un échafaudage temporaire pour améliorations du bâtiment, l'intérieur était magnifique et calme. La nourriture était à des prix très raisonnables et le service était exceptionnel.

Visited for lunch in July 2013 and my first opportunity to return.Pleased we did.Great lunch as before with Veal Kidney dish being the star event.Good service as previously and would recommend if you are looking for a filling yet interesting meal in nice surroundings with friendly server.

It was a rainy evening in Paris and we wondered about trying to find a decent looking place to have dinner when we stumbled across this little gem. The duck was cooked to perfection and my wifes tuna filet ( never seen before ) was sublime. The Fois Gras was perfectly presented and the wine choices were great. The chef was a little aloof though he appeared at every presentation , to see if we appreciated it I suppose, he didn't acknowledge our compliments at all.Overall a great dinner in a beautifully decorated little restaurant
