La Grillardine - Menu

Nous avons passé un super déjeuner d'anniversaire ici en famille. Je le recommanderais certainement. Très belle décoration à l'étage, bonne nourriture et dame extrêmement gentille qui sert. Bref, un merveilleux moment ! Je reviendrai à coup sûr !

Réservation par Facebook, e-mail et répondeur téléphonique. Je dois dire de la part d'une dame très grossière (propriétaire) qu'elle n'avait aucune réservation, même si j'ai montré des nouvelles sur Facebook et nous ai libérés. Je suis allé à côté de La Swan et j'ai eu un excellent dîner. Ne le faites pas...

Nous avons visité un vendredi soir venteux. L'accueil était très chaleureux. Nous avons mangé dans le très joli restaurant à l'étage. Des huîtres et de la bavette pour deux avec une belle bouteille de côtes du Rhône, suivis de fromage, tout était très bon et pour un prix vraiment excellent. Nous reviendrons lors de notre prochain voyage.

Nice little restaurant with a friendly couple running the place. They specialize in meat so not many fish choices. The beef was surprisingly tender, you can ask for some veggies and rice as a change to ubiquitous fries everywhere. There seemed to be quite a few locals, which is always a good sign. My only remark would be that the tea cup was very small, half-filled with water cooling oof very quickly - for a tea drinker like me that's a definite no-go.

Nous sommes venus ici pour une excursion d'une journée pour l'anniversaire de ma fille. Trois d'entre nous ont pris du steak et des frites, et un a pris un burger. Tous les plats principaux étaient très bons. Les desserts étaient un délicieux crème brûlée et une tarte tatin. Encore une fois, tout était délicieux. La serveuse était...patient avec mon français approximatif! C'est un petit restaurant donc je recommanderais de réserver. Je reviendrai certainement.

Having been before, we had to return and we were definitely not disappointed! La Grillardine is in the main restaurant sector of Boulogne, and the evening we were there (a Saturday), la Grillardine was full (mostly local French folks) and turning people away when most of the other restaurants were desperate to get business. Very good value 3 course menu, great range of house wines, friendly and efficient staff. yes its a small place, but that just adds to its charm and atmosphere!

Nous avons réservé une table pour 7 personnes samedi soir et le service était 5 étoiles du moment où nous sommes arrivés jusqu'à notre départ. Ils ont été très accommodants avec le couple de végétariens de notre groupe. Restaurant chaleureux, non apaisant et des plats de qualité à des prix très raisonnables. Nous y retournerons certainement lorsque nous visiterons à nouveau Boulogne. 1 étoile en moins car le vin rouge n'était pas décanté et présentait des sédiments au fond de la bouteille.

We ate at this tiny (12 seats downstairs similar number upstairs) restaurant as it rated so well on TA. The service was OK - although it took a while to get our order taken - unusual in such a small place. The Camembert starter was excellent - tasty and beautifully cooked. The main courses were average however. My cote de boeuf - supposedly the piece de resistance on the menu was really tough. Perhaps not aged or beaten - who knows but it was very fibrous and hard to cut and chew. My wife's lamb chops were OK without being brilliant. The vegetable was petit-pois; minted peas with courgettes and herbs and it was excellent despite using what seemed to be tinned peas!The food was hot, well pres...

I checked the reviews of the closest restaurants to my hotel and saw La Grillardine had generally good reviews.I was greeted by the friendly owners who after my attempt at a couple of sentences in French, spoke quite good English.Having read the good reviews I was surprised at how low the prices were. There were options for as little as 9-10 euros for a main or a set menu for around 17 euros, however I opted for the entrecôte (steak) with shallot sauce for a very reasonable 16 euros and was pleased I did.The food was ready in a matter of minutes and looked and smelled fantastic.
