"What a place! What a restaurant! Allegedly the place was a mill in the 16th century and the owner's grandfather ran a milk bar and started to sell trout in the 1920is. The location is just 2 min. off the main road down into the valley near a small river. The day was blistering hot but down here with the help of the water the temperature was much more pleasant. After playing golf I was invited by a friend to have an exceptional dinner How right he was! By suggestion (not on the menu) I started off with a game soup which was super smooth with only a slight hint of game taste. As a main course I had a fried trout with melted brown butter on the side (not too healthy but yummy) and the usual parsley potatoes. By the way the tout is out of the owners own pond! You can't have it fresher. We washed the fish down with a lot of “Roter Veltliner” wine. A fancy and relatively new WHITE wine grape, which was a match made in heaven. As they say – the fish has to swim For dessert I had blueberry pancakes with cream and some vanilla gelato on the side. I only choose this dessert as they told me that the blueberries were handpicked in the forest the same afternoon. (Remark: I hate the supermarket blueberries. They just taste like water in a black skin) Later in the evening when the business died down the owners – what a friendly people – sat down with us and had a glass of wine while telling us lots of stories. Thanks for your lovely company. All in all I would give the jewel of a restaurant a 4.5 out of 5 and I will be sure to be back next time I am around."

Nice cosy place by the river. Home made plates that are simple, nice and delicious. Preferably visit in the morning as the road is very dark.

A hidden gem. Easy to miss as there are no signs but well worth the trip. Trouts are farmed right outside the restaurant. Super fresh... A great stop en route across the alps.

A small, quiet and informal restaurant hidden in the countryside near Mieders, but well worth seeking out if you like fish. They have their own trout farm and know how to cook it perfectly. The couple who owned it were really friendly and charming. We will definitely go again if we're ever in the area again.

The food here is really nice specializing trout from the local river. The waitress was so friendly and pleasant and the atmosphere is great. The Wiener schnitzel was also wonderful .the 2 soups we had were delicious gulyas soup and carrot bisque. You can walk to this restaurant from Telfes and the walk is beautiful through the woods and along side a river. A very special place to go. The taxi company Willie was very easy to work with and took us everywhere. Don't miss out by not going here.

This is a real HIDDEN PEARL for those who admire fresh and well prepared trout forelli) meal! This family driven restaurant is easy- going and cozy place and based on tradition in many generations. Worth to visit. Not so far from the main road. There is also soups, salads and some meat choices available not forgetting the little customers. Desserts- ask them- and you will be overwhelmed happy! Everything is homemade receipts and hand- picked. There is parking area outside and in good weather also the terasse is available. The service is nice, flexible and everything happened easily. Great experience !
