in the kastaniengarten in oberhaunstadt you get not only best beer garden food (like schweinshaxn, knödl, salate, brathähnchen etc). but also the beautiful authentic beer garden atmosphere: sitting under shady chestnut trees on beer garden benches. of course not to forget: the beer is sinful!

we are more frequent here eating, because the warm kitchen is simply inviting to it. :-) this time there were beespätzle (correct, mega tasty) who made me so tired up to far in the evening that I could not walk anymore. we were already 13 o'clock lunch....The second dish was black. that's the normal reason we're going there. as usual for the region, the kastaniengarten is a classic beer garden! the special is; there are many covered sheds, huts and also a area with restaurant similar ambiente with operation . the location is beautiful, a bit at the mountain. in the self-service area there are carving and haxen etc. in the served area a la carte . the service kernig, lovable and friendly . a good tipp around ingolstadt .

our last visit is already a bit back, let me get in my memories ), service - good average, friendly, fast. but otherwise well-eating - tastefully, eating was good, nothing extraordinary. typical Bavarian but unfortunately no longer. location - we were already in the beer garden before visiting. in summer extremely full but beautiful. This time we were inside in the "big room" (if you go in left on the rise). the hall itself was great, even the original rectification fits into the house.You can recommend the kastaniengarten quietly, but you can expect nothing world-moving (at least our opinion). Bavarian cuisine. no more, no less. we will go back there anyway!

we wanted dinner in the beer garden. we got some drinks on the go. there I also asked if you can eat here for a card. the heart said on the terrace you would be served. so we were looking for a place on the terrace that was integrated in the beer garden. after a waiting period of approx. 25min our food was taken up. after the order the lady said: where are the drinks they have. I said we got them off here. then the older woman has been so stupid from the side that even other guests shook the head. she didn't mean to do that when we get drinks on the go, we'll eat here. we offered her to order new drinks right away as we had starving. then, no, that's not going, and we're supposed to get up r...
