"The staff were friendly, I've read a few reviews about one of the gentlemen being rude (and I think I was served by the same man), however he was perfectly nice to me. I don't speak German well at all and had to order in English. The food was good and hearty. I cannot give a full score because I did feel some obligation to tip from the lady that served me later. This is a little awkward and not normal in my culture."

We've been there for the second time. Always like it. Nice waiter. Food was quickly brought, despite extra wishes and tasted very well.

From carvings to complete meat plates to goulash soup the quality was great and also the hosting was excellent, very fast and more than satisfying.

Great place to rest and eat after the Xmas Market or any other walk about in Berlin. We had a lovely old school waiter, with lovely food and Berlin flair. Plenty of space as well. Would recommend it.

Solid German home cooking, however, the chefs “good thing wants to have some time” should take a little to heart. I'd rather wait longer for my food when it gets cold in the middle and let it go back twice. (Grillhaxe) Since the waiting was quite worthwhile and it was very good. The waiter has acted eloquently in this situation.
