"Looked forward to dining at Gogärtchen as I have enjoyed it for many years. Was shocked following my experience tonight. Was seated in bar area despite the fact that the outside dining room had plenty of available space. Service was initially pleasant. Server took my order for salad, entree and drink. Salad was delivered within minutes. It was ok, but not up to the quality of previous meals here. I waited politely and patiently, for an hour, for entree to arrive. The server never returned to check on me despite looking at me numerous times. Another server asked if I wanted coffee. I told him I would like my meal first. My server finally returned and ask if everything was ok. I advised that I hadn't received my meal. She seemed surprised and then told me her colleague hadn't entered my entree into the order system. Nor had she bothered to follow up. I asked to speak with Patrick, the manager. He slowly came to my table. He offered a very unsatisfactory explanation: It is the end of a long season and the staff are tired If this is true, he should close the restaurant instead of providing loyal customers poor service. He offered nothing in the way of apology. Perhaps this explains why all of the restaurants on the Strönwai were busy and lively and Gogärtchen was nearly empty. Terribly disappointing. I will contact Michelin to report."

"After two visits to the sylter institution called “Copper Can” I would like to share my impressions with you. a really beautifully made location that has quite little of oma and opa, but rather remembers a landscape from the heart of the rings. in beautiful weather you sit here well outside in green and you almost don't realize how big this is actually. I also liked that the coffee is a kind of home roasting or something, that is also tasted. rather disappointing were the breakfast “copper can” and the cake pieces we had. while at breakfast the rolls were more reminiscent of discounters than bakers, our cakes were more average what I find in the trips here than not in order. Conclusion: with a beautiful sunshine I come back to a coffee, for good cake I will continue a few kilometers in the future, for example after morsum."

"We had a reallynice dinner here but it was also the most expensive during our visit to Sylt. We arrived and ordered two Aperol Spritz, it was ok. But unfortunately the smallest I have ever had. We decided on variation of salmon to start with...which was very nice. One portion of halibut with truffelrisotto with champagne sauce and one portion of Northsea cod with vegetables, salt potatoes and mustardsauce. Maincourses was also very nice, mine with the halibut was beautiful in combination with the risotto. The dessert was one portion of sorbet ice cream, three different types and one portion of red porridge with vanilla ice cream. We had a bottle of white wine and two glasses of dessert wine, and ended the meal with two cups of coffee. We had a good time and the food is a bit more expensive here but it is also good, value for money. And we would come back."

"also this restaurant was known to us by sending my local, your local. without reservation, we wanted to go to our last evening for dinner. it was a bit disappointing. before: it was okay to eat. I had the shiny carving with gurkensalat and bratkartoffeln. the scavenger was great and also the gurkensalat was top. my man had noodles with gambas who were unfortunately more gloomy than his. there were also fish sticks and potato puree. in the connection a ball of ice for the small and an erdbeertiramisu for the big. unfortunately this tasted not great, but was tastefully not a highlight. also the service remained to wish. already when we wanted to enter the restaurant, the chef stood in the entrance and talked with a well-known and only said a cool hallo after we almost had to push through. even when we were in, we felt very uncomfortable. it seemed to us to be an interference factor. we got a table, but it was reserved later. you had the feeling that we eat quickly so that the table is released again. we were not even asked whether everything is in order or whether we want something else. also the chef didn't say a ton, although he even turned on our table a candle or I stood out briefly with him while he was smoking and I was walking with our little son. everyone can have a bad day, but other guests (it seemed to be known or masters) were welcomed very kindly. in short, we were eating at henrys once and saw it, but we don't have to go there for a second. there are much better restaurants."

"I would like to mention that eating was good, but the whole visit was extremely disappointing.We arrived shortly before the big evening storm. a table with two places was free, and we could quickly order the desired dishes. we chose humus as starter, the little salmon trout and I one of the daily dishes. we waited over 50 minutes before we first asked. immediately next to us, a table with a group arrived after us was already supplied with the orders we had ordered. that inevitably triggers unmistakable. the starter was finally delivered with the main courses, which is for a few slices of brot and humus in no way comprehensible.The quality of the salmon with the noodles was not appropriate to the price(low chill fillet, fry, deep cooler bses, finished tomato sauce with sawne). the salmon trout was very good.In the connection we asked immediately after the bill and had to beg for another 15 minutes to pay. all in all, a visit is not recommended. there are much better places on the island."
