"we have stumbled over this caffe after a long walk. it was like an oasis, we needed a cold drink. inside it is tastefully decorated with a relaxed atmosphere. very clean and comfortable. to our drinks we tasted some cake - a vegan apple-cocook cake and a mandarine with advocate. both were very tasty and inexpensive. the menu consists mainly of drinks, cakes and light snacks. the host was very attentive and gave us some ideas where we should visit and what we should eat. if we ever return to bamberg, we will definitely visit cafezimmer again."

"The food is super delicious and fresh! My husband loves (super) sharp dishes and has preferred extra chilis, which were then added freshly chopped and were really sharp. I'm too sharp on the map! The staff responds to all extra requests and is very nice and accommodating. Preordering food works great and it was always ready for the minute to pick up."

"We were a group of English guys staying in Bamberg for a weekend of beer, sightseeing & more beer. Bamberg is, of course, the centre of the universe for fans of beer & brewing culture. One of our group found Cafe Abseits on the internet & it was possibly the best find of the weekend. I contacted the proprietor prior to our arrival to warn him of a group of 14 men in need of a hearty breakfast & some local "where to go" info. When we arrived, tables were reserved for us & we were warmly greeted by the owner who proceeded to tell us about the wonderful beer brewing heritage of Bamberg. We were served up a fantastic breakfast - the emphasis was on hearty portions rather than gourmet presentation, but we were all, without exception, greatly impressed by the quality & size of the meal. In addition to the great breakfast, Cafe Abseits has an impressive beer list, focusing mainly on local produce. We were treated to much inside knowledge from the proprietor during our ordering of beer. A man with an obvious passion for his product ! To cap it off, we were offered a sample beer, on the house, of a special beer brewed by a local independant brewer using hops grown by a local farmer. The owner didn't need to spend so much time with this level of personal attention, but he did & we were all blown away by our visit there. It's tucked away a bit, on the wrong side of the train station for most tourists making their way into town. But that only added to it's charm. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in beer who is visiting this amazing town for the weekend. I could not fault this place & will remain indebted to the owner for such a warm welcome to Bamberg."

"La réservation par téléphone était simple, quelques heures de préavis et un groupe de personnes a été rapidement accueilli. Espacement suffisant entre les différentes tables de clients. Formulaires de recherche de contacts immédiats à remplir. Masque la distanciation sociale strictement appliquée. La nourriture était délicieuse, les commandes sont sorties ... juste comme demandé. Aucune modification des repas autorisée, même si la nourriture était bien assiette. Le restaurant était très propre partout, y compris les toilettes. Espacement magnifique avec des sièges au niveau du sol à l'étage. Nous avons apprécié notre repas dans les meilleurs sushis de Bamberg. Je vous remercie"

"we were in cocoon last Saturday. what is offered here is unfortunately only disappointing. the smoky beef steak had a rubber-like consistency and the taste of the Thai curry court ordered by my man compared to that of an ordinary delivery service court - therefore in a ratio to a very high price more than inadequate!!The service staff was not attentive enough (after taking up our drinks orders we had to sayful 30min to wait for two (!) beverages, also need to be worked on the difficult to understand). For my man and me - as already mentioned - very disappointing, since our very high expectations to the cocoon restaurant in bamberg were unfortunately not fulfilled in the least. it is too bad for the beautiful, modern ambiente! we were for the first time and certainly also for the last time too gassed in the cocoon bamberg."
