"Good fixed price menu and fair value for the location but the food arrived far too quickly considering we 'd bought a bottle of wine and only wanted two courses. The food that arrived was good but it would have been better if they hadn 't served the end of the terrine. Service was pleasant but watch out for their 'Cover Charge ' on the bill, which was described to me as a charge for bread and linen etc. I think it 's reasonable to expect linen to be included in the overall costing of my meal and as there was no choice or advanced warning before we ate bread it was challenged and removed from the bill."

Great spot in the city, would recommend making a reservation. The menu is good but the portions are on the smaller side. Still worth it though.

The Royal Exchange is a beautiful building in which the Sauterelle is located on the first floor overlooking the ground floor bar area but with glass screens at one end so that there is no intrusive noise. The food and service were very good we will revisit...

Walk past and you'll miss this great secret hidden under The Royal Exchange. Great restaurant, great location great food. Very accommodating staff who coped well with everything asked of them , extra sitting and speedy bill requirements. Won't think twice about going again.
