"My wife and I stayed over in Haworth for a two night stay and by a country mile the highlight of our visit was the time we spent in The Pave. The owners Andrew and Rachael were very welcoming , as were all the staff in there . The atmosphere was relaxed and absolutely what we look for on a night out . We knew straight away that we had stumbled across a Gem. The one regret is that we didn't eat in there ....the food looked and smelled amazing . However , the choice of wines more than made up for this...and Andrew introduced me to what is now my wine of choice . We WILL be back soon......that's an extra star to make my review a 6 star rating ......Tom n Jill"

"We arrived to be told there was no one booked in with our name. Then we were asked if it might be under a wrong name? How would we know. They decided maybe we were under a wrong name so we could go to a table. After waiting an eternity our food finally arrived. Steak heavily coated in salt, steak pie dry and tough, tipsy chicken cold, side salad was just a few leaves looking as though it was a rabbits left overs. Diet Pepsi sent back twice as flat and strange taste to first one. We could have sent the meals back but then would have had to wait another eternity and we were so hungry it was easier to leave it. No one even asked us if we had enjoyed our meal. Dessert order taken after we had to ask, we had waited 35 minutes after being given the dessert menus. We stopped visiting The Grouse due to the last time being of a poor standard but was told it had improved. Shame we listened. Yes we could have sent the meals back, but then we would have waited another eternity. Yes we could have argued the food wasn’t worth it but we understand you need to make a living. You said your chef did his best, maybe he did, but that isn’t helpful, it doesn’t change the poor service and food. In a nut shell, we won’t be back. Two chances were enough. Other people may have had better experiences it’s just a shame that a pub we used to go to a lot has really gone down hill in our eyes."

"It has been a few years since my last visit, and I was delighted to find that on Monday, the dining experience is still of extraordinary quality in this hidden gem of a restaurant. My salmon was a generous portion, perfectly cooked and served in a delicious sauce. My partner had the sirloin steak, accompanied by the largest, freshest king prawns in garlic butter, also cooked to perfection. We were well taken care of by the owner, his staff, and the skilled kitchen team. The lovely open fire added to the ambiance, and the music was an enjoyable eclectic mix. To top it all off, the wine selection was excellent! Thank you for a delightful evening; we will definitely be back again."

"My wife and I visited The Hawthorn for the first time on 20th October to attend a wedding meal in the private dining room. I had the Whitby Crab starter and the Dexter Ribeye steak served rare. The starter was delicious and beautifully presented, and the ribeye steak was really tasty and so tender it melted in my mouth. My wife had the fondue starter and the whole bream, and she loved both. The staff are so professional and friendly, and no request was too much for them. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and cozy, which was particularly enjoyed on the rainy evening we visited Haworth! Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the care taken in presenting it. We are already planning our return to The Hawthorn!"

"We came for a family meal on a Sunday evening, my wife had the Sunday beef roast which she describes as absolutely superb she said the cut of meat was one of the best she’s ever had My daughter had a child’s beef dinner and my son had the Burger (it actually came as an adults meal by mistake but they was happy to charge a child’s meal for it as it was their error) The BBQ pulled pork burger was simple the best burger I’ve ever eaten everything was perfect there wasn’t too much stuff in which would of made the burger fall apart the burger buns were solid so it all stayed out and the beef was succulent I can’t give much more praise that the full experience was amazing the lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful and the young lads serving were great as well Unfortunately we was only staying in Oxenhope for a couple nights so we can’t go back soon but we will make sure to get back before the end of the year as it was superb HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"
