"Like HRC everywhere: not great food but always going back there. We arrived at and the nachos were already sold out? We got starters at the same and the chicken sandwich came minutes later. Cola was terrible: probably fountain without any gas....When will HRC switch to coke?? You can sit on the roof top terrace which gives you a nice view at the Elbe river with all the boats. Service was as always: slow and chaotic. However, we keep coming back to a HRC in another city. Just to tick the boxes."

The Hamburger was delicious and the service was amazing. The prices were also good. The atmosphere was good in the restaurant. We will come back!

Standard Hard Rock menu which you expect, but value for money was one of the best I have visited and the food was tasty, great views from the roof terrace.

De kaart is niet geheel uitgebreid, maar er is voldoende keuze. Het kan er behoorlijk druk zijn, vaak worden er tafels gereserveerd. Personeel is vriendelijk en de sfeer goed. Tip: Neem plaats op het dakterras.

What can I say... HRC in Hamburg is just an average place with average food and service. If you want to have some fastfood with a nice view over the see... just have a go and try it out but don't expect a spectacular...WOW Voir le carte

Although we were so late, the staff gave us a chance to order and eat on a Sunday very last minute! Everybody was so gentle. The food has been delicious, still unbelievable barbecue sauce! We enjoyed it so much worth every penny, thank you!

We had a short wait to be seated, though this was to be expected at Saturday lunchtime. We opted for the Moving Mountains kids burgers, both were excellent. Our waitress was polite friendly, helped make this a great meal, thank you...Malvina!

Brilliant ribs, Hard Rock have still got it! Go hungry, they're massive and fall off the bone. Chips and coleslaw great too! Situated on river, so decent placement. Pair up with walking the Elbe tunnel first to build up an appetite....we were not disappointed! Voir le carte

Visited for lunch on a Sunday. Restaurant is located a bit far from town, but close to U-Bahn and right beside the area where all the tour buses and river cruise boats are based, so easy to find. Usual HRC menu American comfort food,...service was slick professional, pricing was on the high side (HRC is usually more expensive), but overall an enjoyable experience.

Dont go there for the music. If you Come to listen to rock music, you will be so dissapointed. The waiter was Nice, the food ok, but they shouldn't call it Hard Rock café. Only one song was rock, all the rest was rnb and...pop. dissapointing. We wouldnt have walked all the way, if we had known that. Then we could have chosen every other random café with loud bad music again, No complaints aboru the waiter, and we liked the food. Just change the name or the music.

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
