"Unser Geheimtipp wenn wir Lust auf ein gutes und vor allem ein riesiges Steak haben! Dort bleibt wirklich kein Wunsch offen! Hier gilt das Motto Klasse statt Masse! Man wird sehr freundlich empfangen, unser Hund ist kein Problem, wird wie ein Gast akzeptiert! Ein nettes Team und ein super Chef der sich bestens und das wohl der Gäste kümmert! Kulinarisch bleibt kein Wunsch offen, man bekommt was man möchte und es wird eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion auf den Teller gezaubert! Ich esse gerne Steak und es darf auch mal größer sein! Kein Problem, einfach die gewünschte Menge sagen und ich hab mein Wunschfleisch (was ich auch im rohen Zustand gezeigt bekomme) auf dem Grill! ❤️ Die Schnapsauswahl zur Verdauung kann sich auch sehen lassen! Ein für uns beliebtes Ziel um dort mit unseren Geschäftspartnern, Kunden oder Freunden königlich zu speisen!Ich bin dort mind. 2 mal im Monat zu finden, die Qualität passt! "We’ve been coming the Fischbachau for the last twenty years and have often eaten at either the Klosterstueberl or the Gasthaus zu Post. The Klosterstueberl is located in a beautiful building and has both homely interiors and a wonderful terrace for sitting outside. We always...visit following a day of hiking in the area and therefore look forward to a hefty portion of a Bavarian classic. Yesterday we found the menu had changed and included new touches like “pork cutlets with Iberico ham and chorizo”. This already raised suspicions and when the food came it unfortunately was not very good. We had breadcrumb fried fish which was a horrible consistency and lacked any seasoning except hefty amounts of garlic in the slightly burnt crust, I found mine inedible. Our side salads also included a piece of water melon which is a sure sign that the chef has changed and things are going downhill. All in all the setting is beautiful and I would recommend sticking to the absolute basic dishes of schnitzel, schweinsbraten and Gulasch. However, it’s a shame that they are trying to “modernise” and really doesn’t suit the establishment."

"Von der Rückfahrt vom wunderschönen Schliersee Richtung Rosenheim waren wir mit 5 Personen auf einen Einkehrschwung im neu renovierten Landgasthof / Hotel "Rubins Alter Wirt" in dem wirklich sehr stilvoll eingerichteten Restaurant bekamen wir nach herzlicher Begrüßung sofort eine Speisekarte vorgelegt, die Getränke kamen sehr schnell und gut gekühlt ( ausser der Rotwein in perf. Zimmertemp. ) Der in die Nase steigende angenehmen leichten und feinen Aromen aus der Küche ließen uns schnell bestellen. Ich will hier keinen Roman schreiben will komme ich auf den Punkt. Wir waren alle von der Qualität des Essens sehr positiv überrascht und sehr zufrieden, so dass wir den kompletten restlichen Abend bei guter Stimmung und sehr süffigen Ayinger Bierspezialitäten sowie den vom Wirt empfohlenen Weinen die Zeit sowie die leider auch in Bayern geltenden Promillegrenzen vergaßen. Nur dem, auf die im Hause vorhandenen Zimmer hinweisenden Wirtspaar Rubin aus Kärnten ist der weitere Fortbestand unser Führerscheine zu verdanken. Erst am nächsten Morgen beim Erwachen konnten wir die jetzt nicht mehr verschwommenen Bilder der erwähnenswert tollen Zimmer und hochmodernen Bäder positiv überrascht wahrnehmen.Wir können diesen Landgasthof in Hundham nur bestens weiterempfehlen."

"We visited the restaurant a few days before Christmas when we spend a winter holiday in the region. The food is certainly delicious and staff friendly. However, the size of the place is much smaller than it looks on the pictures on their homepage, and the wooden dividers between the tables do not really hold the sound back from the adjacent tables. We felt almost a bit claustrophobic, but that could have to do with the fact that we are stuck at our table between the wall and a larger group. Our own party was a group of nine people (half of them teenagers, so we were sure happy to deal with a certain level of noise. But what we had next to us in the inn to Wurz was the team of a local company who held their Christmas do, who had a 25-minute speech of a guy who had his back, constantly confronted us in a very uncomfortable way, screaming and cheering people so that the atmosphere for us was more than that of a Rugby stadium than that of a restaurant. Certainly not what we expect when you visit a restaurant whose prices are on the expensive side. After 15 minutes. asked if he could please move to the other side of her table to give us a break, the guy simply rejected and continued in a loud noise, also entertaining language towards our group. After 20 min we asked the restaurant staff for help but received only a friendly What can we do, they did their Christmas? In general: The restaurant and the food is certainly worth a visit, but check out who is with you how you sit very close to all the others in the restaurant. And avoid busy seasons like before Christmas!"

"Wirtin very friendly and accommodating-here the guest still counts and you feel very welcome here. Breakfast was sufficient and tasty,all wishes were immediately accepted. Also the a' la carte food in the evening was huge, and the taste was very fine. The rooms were rather simple, yet everything was available and the most important: very clean and good mattresses. The hostess mastered the booked knödelkurs with Bravour, even as a well-known hobby cook I could still look at some tips and tricks. So a successful weekend in the beautiful Fischbachau- only to recommend!"
