"embedded in an old village on the top of a hill, the hotel restaurant looks like a typical Germanic style house. finding it is very easy thanks to the signs. the problem is that it is better to avoid there with sports car. or large caravans, as the access road is narrow and paved in style. the parking spaces are limited so that they only drive to dinner there, it is recommended to park outside the village and take a walk to reach the locals; above all how to enjoy the atmosphere of the place. the place is not very large, but it appears immediately inviting. there are two dining rooms. an antique style with fireplace and time facility; the other modern and plentiful, but always pleasant. as far as the hotel part is concerned, I must say that I expected more! my room was definitiw small and the equipment was not exactly level. a refrigerator was missing for example. the bathroom can be checked in any case... very simple and economical. among other things, the hahn was very small and difficult to use for washing. I have to make a note of the amount of ascigamani. clean, but a little too dry. maybe dated. cleaning is not the best .. more attention would be required. Maybe other rooms are more spacious and equipped, but I couldn't check. about the breakfast. everything is normal, although I expected local products and maybe handmade. regarding the restaurant, I must say that I am completely satisfied.... good products and well cooked in the right portions. good wine selection and good beer. perfect service and friendliness. the restaurant is worth a visit. satisfied!"

"Wir haben unsere Hochzeit in der Alten Kellerei gefeiert und hatten einen wunderschönen Tag. Trotz des schlechten Wetters hat das Team alles gegeben, um den Tag so schön wie möglich zu machen. Als das Wetter doch für kurze Zeit gehalten hat, wurde der Sektempfang spontan nach draußen in den Garten gelegt das war alles kein Problem. Generell waren auch die Mädels vom Service sehr aufmerksam und alles hat wie vorab besprochen geklappt. Dafür nochmal ein herzliches Dankeschön an das ganze Team! Auch vor der Hochzeit war die Zusammenarbeit für die Organisation immer angenehm und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Auch unsere Gäste haben die wunderschöne Location sehr gelobt. Jetzt nach der Hochzeit werden wir auch gerne immer wieder kommen!"

"Essen ist gut, Service eher nicht so! Wir hatten reserviert, da zum Geburtstag und anstehender Geburt Familienbesuch anstand und wir gute spanische Küche für die spanische Familie präsentieren wollten! Das Wetter war super schön. Terrasse geöffnet. Ein Platz draußen wurde nicht angeboten. Aber okay, vielleicht war es schon zu voll! Im Vorfeld hatte ich mir die Karte angeschaut und ein unkompliziertes Kindergericht gefunden. Wie erwähnt, bin ich hochschwanger kurz vor der Entbindung und muss aktuell sehr auf die Ernährung achten. Ein Kind war ebenfalls mit uns dabei. Es gab dennoch keinen Hinweis auf ein Kindergericht! Meine Bestellung wurde abgelehnt, weil ich kein Kind sei. Das steht wo? Auch die Erläuterung der Schwangerschaft hat nicht interessiert, sodass ich ein viel zu großes Gericht bestellen musste und mich aus Kostengründen überfressen habe! Das anwesend Kind wollte zwei Portionen um mir mir zu teilen. Auch abgelehnt! Im weiteren Verlauf wurden wir gefragt, ob die Vorspeisenteller abgeräumt werden könnten, damit die Tapasplatten als Vorspeise auf den Tisch passen. Wo ist da bitte der Sinn? Warum stellt man dann keinen der freien Tische ran UND legt schon mal das Besteck des Hauptgangs auf den Tisch? (Gepasst hat es am Ende ohnehin locker! Weiterhin waren die Wartezeiten extrem lang. Möglich, dass die Terrasse sehr voll war, aber bspw. die Nachbestellung von Brot und Ketchup erfolgte unsererseits zeitgleich, wurde aber nach 5 bzw. 10 Minuten getrennt ausgeführt. Auch hier frage ich nach dem Sinn, wenn man doch eh schon in der Küche war!? Auf ein Dessert haben wir dann nochmal über 10 Minuten gewartet. Die gleichzeitig geforderte Rechnung dauerte wieder. Abgeräumt wurde auch eher unkoordiniert und nicht besonders aufmerksam. Immerhin standen diverse Teller oder Flaschen lange leer da und wurden beim direkten Kontakt am Tisch ignoriert. Zum Zeitfaktor lasse ich noch die mögliche Auslastung im Außenbereich gelten, aber ansonsten war der Service wirklich schlecht! Nicht zwingend nur der noch etwas unsicher wirkende Kellner, sondern auch alle anderen erfahrener wirkenden Kellnerinnen! Aber das Essen war mit wenigen Ausnahmen ganz gut! Satt ja, zufrieden nein. Wiederkommen sehr zögerlich mal gucken ."

Venus

"Das Restaurant Venus in Grünstadt ist definitiv ein Geheimtipp. Der Laden wird von einem etwas spleenigen Italiener betrieben, welcher meistens auch die Bestellungen annimmt.Seine Art ist vielleicht nicht jedermanns Sache, aber dafür ist er wirklich ein exzellenter Koch. Wenn man ihm eine Chance gibt, ist er super lieb, zuvorkommend und witzig.Zunächst ein paar Worte zur Einrichtung. Ich persönliche bevorzuge den hellen Außenbereich, der leider nur in der warmen Jahreszeit geöffnet hat. Im Wesentlichen ist dies ein großer Pavillon, der zwar keine wirkliche Aussicht bietet, dafür aber frische Luft und sehr hell ist. Das Ambiente im Innenbereich ist sehr dunkel gehalten und besticht durch massive, dunkle Holzbalken. In der Mitte des Raumes ist ein kleiner Teich eingefasst. Es ist auf keinen Fall ungemütlich - aber ich mag es lieber hell. Das Essen ist wirklich bemerkenswert gut. Es sind sämtliche italienische "Standard" Gerichte vorhanden, die jedoch alle einen ganz eigenen "Venus-typischen" Charakter haben. Da ich Vegetarier bin, kann ich sämtliche Pasta-Variationen einfach nur empfehlen: Es ist wirklichder Hammer. Die Pizza ist ebenfalls Klasse. Große Pflicht ist der Italienische Salat (ich esse ihn ohne Schinken). Das Dressing ist eine Eigenkreation vom Chef - ich habe noch in keinem anderen Restaurant ein ähnliches Dressing kennengelernt. Die fleisch-haltigen Gerichte sollen übrigens ebenfalls durchweg grandios sein (habe das von sehr vielen Menschen bestätigt bekommen).Ich kann die Venus einfach nur empfehlen. :)"

"we have been coming into the burgschänke for years, especially because of the excellent ochsen meat (wood wool and filet) and are always very satisfied. the service is always friendly and attentive, and the restaurant management welcomes idr all personally - as far as it often allows the full dining room. the atmosphere invites them to stay, here they want to sneak with a gloomy light and came in close proximity. the tower room is particularly sweet with its small niche, but also the main guest room, a walled vaulted cellar, has a lot of charm. from the appetizer (including a tasty wobble soup) over the hot-awaited main course of the ochsenkotelett with self-made potato roast and a huge fresh salad (of course everything they just desire and order) into the desert of homemade ice or parfait and our favorite maril baroque is just all always top! there is always a small piece of chocolate cake (where else you know only packed cookies). the quality of the quantity is in nothing! we are very happy to come here, even if we drive well 80 km for it. also brought friends were always enthusiastic and we look forward to the next time! I can only say they have a really stressful evening. I can hardly imagine, however, that they really wait for 1 hour to be eaten, and there is not the talk with the chefin looking, but waiting for the bill. each yet so good restaurant often has a few lazy service eggs, but therefore the complete concept, eat and evaluate the restaurant management negatiw I cannot understand. Moreover, their assessment is not very useful for others, as they do not mention a word about quality or plv., should a real restaurant criticism look different."
