"My other half wanted to take me to Fego because there were many options for me. It turned out that they had only 1 option and even had to be vegan! I'm vegan and gluten intolerance (although I don't have a bit of gluten here and there). Your gluten-free bread is not vegan, so most “vegan” options for me as it was, but the worst thing is that everything that needs to be cooked is cooked on the same grill as the meat, therefore it becomes a “plant-based” menu and not a “vegan” menu It is actually not vegan! The only option for me was the “Fego Superfood” and even that has honey in that I asked them to leave. The dish was okay, but I could make myself a better one, especially to see how she had no vegan dressings to go with it! Never back."

"Brasserie Blanc has a great reputation, and for good reason! Always a bit hesitant to go because of the price-tag, my pal and I decided to go here for their pre-theatre set-dinner. 3 courses wine £19...sold! For my starter, I had a Chorizo and Potato salad, which was delicious and very unique. My main course was a Haddock Risotto, which was perfectly creamy and savory. My dessert was a Chocolate Pudding, which was more like a chocolate lava cake. All of the dishes where fairly large portions, contrary to what I had heard about this place before. "Wonderful meal on a Saturday evening when we were staying in the area for the first time. A very welcoming atmosphere when we arrived: lots of family groups with children, all clearly enjoying their food. Service was very friendly and efficient. We shared an antipasto platter for a starter all good, and my only regret was that I hadn't ordered a plate of the arancini all to myself. For mains, we had various pasta and pizzas all very good (especially the spaghetti carbonara), and a cut above anything similar that we've had for a long time. For sweets, the tiramisu and affogato tia maria were delicious. Lovely meal, and lovely too to see an independent restaurant so busy and popular."

"yesterday 9/4/18 the pub held a funeral reception for us. everything was perfect hot drinks ready at the arrival was excellent and the personal friendly and helpful .... loved the terrace with a fire burning and cover to keep us warm for those who brave the outside on a wet and cold day. "the first time here and we were not dissolved. we have received a very warm welcome from the arrival of the personal. we have pre-dinner cocktails upstairs that were beautiful. our starter main and pudding was delicious and we didn't wait long between each cure. the customer service was fantastic. we will find ourselves soon and recommend this jewel of an orte!"
