"I am a return guest every year...whenever I am in Canton Schwyz. Great food. Friendly staff. Yesterday I had lunch there alone (normally I go with my family or business guests who'd like to experience a rural Swiss restaurant with great food, fair prices and be treated in a welcoming manner). The family who runs it is also helpful when making suggestions for activities. It was a busy time when I arrived and they still found a spot for me. It is best to phone and reserve ahead of time. There are always meat, fish, and some vegetarian dishes as well as rosti (a Swiss specialty with grated potatoes and very filling) in the winter months. There is a majestic view coming into Lauerz. Go on a sunny day and you will be in awe. The restaurant, which also has bright, clean, basic rooms at a very reasonable rate, is located just a 4min walk from the lake and a short drive from several local ski mountains, the Tierpark (lovely deer park in Goldau), the knife factory outlet shop and the chocolate factory outlet shop. It is best to go there by car. I am not sure how frequent the bus is there. There is a church across the road (the restaurant's windows are soundproof so you don't hear the bells unless you are outside the restaurant) and peaceful walking paths. Remember to take your camera!"

"Arrived @11:30 today, ordered “Rösti with bacon and egg”.... 1. irritation: only cash accepted, this is simply not normal in these days! Even though the bank had 1.3% commission (this is 30 rugs at a 20 CHF purchase) I was lucky to have a friend with me who had random enough cash. And the guy at the checkout gave it all to Chef 2. Irritation: it took almost 45! Get minutes for the order! I mean, I'm patient, but this is too long... shame some old fashion boys up there are responsible..."

"Sind hier spontan hängengeblieben, da Nahe am Parkplatz und die Lage am See versprach einiges. Die Lage ist in der Tat privilegiert - der laden müsste eine Goldgrube sein. Das positive vorweg: Man kann hier auch am Nachmittag um 16:00 die ganze Menukarte bestellen. Auch die etwas grimmige Begrüssung wandelte sich mit der Zeit zu einer freundlichen Bedienung. Aber: Von 4 bestellten Hauptgängen wurden 2 falsch geliefert - der Zeit zu liebe assen wir halt auch diese. Aber alle Pasta-Gerichte waren versalzen... wir hatten selten so viel Durst danach!"
