"I booked a table for 15 people. We first arrive there at 6pm(booking time). The other guest were on their way. When we arrived i went straight to the lady and order 3 jumbo platters and 8 bottles with water which I paid straight away before anyone to arrive. After 3 minutes a waiter came to my table and told that the platters are ready to come. I said,how come, cuz the guests are not all here?? The food will be cold after 10 minutes. He said,the food is ready go be served and will bring to the table,he can't do anything. I said,i do not the food to be bring so soon on the table before the all guests arrive, i said give the platters to someone else. The waiter said he can't give the platters to someone else as no one ordered jumbo platers. Remember: it was Saturday 6pm,you do not want to know how busy is that restaurant,it was full of people.How can you say no one else ordered jumbo food??? A ****! Ok,after 10 minutes the food was there,anyway quite cold to be honest! The all people came and we served the food. After that,we ordered kunefe desert. I am eating kunefe,also cooking kunefe, since 2009. It is my favourite desert. I can say that was the worst kunefe I ever eat. I have never seen kunefe with creme fraiche on the top. As far as I know, kunefe it s served with icecream,not creme fraiche(the cheapest one,you can taste the butter very strong). Probably they run out of icecream and put creme fraiche on the top. Which taste awful. After deserts they asked who want turkish tea.We said all that we want,so 15 turkish teas. We only received 9. When I asked again that we still want 6 teas,the waiter never came back. We waited,waited,waited after our teas until the manager started to come and to watch us,probably to leave asap as they want to free the table for another customers. I totally paid aproximatley £450 . Was the most expensive dinner and the worst one in my life. Definitely we are not coming back here ever. It is nothing to compare this restaurant with the turkish restaurants from Haringey Green Lanes. The food is overpriced for what you receive. They are not lack of staff,but the staff is ****. They are too busy on saturdays and do not know how to manage everything. They do not care about customers,their only goal is to make more money. I would not recommend this restaurant.Ah,I forgot to mention that I spent all my night in the loo,having diarhea."

I would recommend avoiding the Chingford branch of this restaurant. The service was the worst I have ever experienced, with rude staff who are in need of customer service training. My Sunday afternoon was completely ruined.

Had an amazing time! The service and food are absolutely amazing here, portions are massive! Sohail served us and was absolutely pleasant the whole night, made us feel so welcomed and his service was 10/10, definitely will be coming back! Voir le carte

I had a very nice experience. The service was amazing for such a busy place and the staff were absolutely amazing. The manager (Arda) was extremely helpful and vey nice. The food was also extremely well cooked and tasted fantastic! Will be definitely coming back.

How can they openly admit they took down an order incorrectly, and not apologise? Waiter and manager both are extremely incompetent and disrespectful. Ercan YAVUZ of Enfield and Veysel YAVUZ of Cockfosters you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Company got too big to care anymore I guess...

Love coming gukyuzu food never lets us down. Little disappointed as there was no salt and pepper on the table not offered sauces. Not offered tea for after dinner even though normally we would get offered. There was no interest from the staff they were too busy speaking to guest they new instead. To even noticed others guest around them. Had to ask for our own tea after paying our £130 bill After eating my dinner with my husband. Voir le carte

I am extremely disappointed with the restaurant. The portion sizes are small and overpriced, and the side salad was so dry and full of onions that we couldn't eat it. The atmosphere was bad from the moment we arrived, with the front lady appearing stressed and having a negative attitude. It seemed disorganized with too many people and not enough tables for bookings. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants under different management, but now the waitresses seem exhausted from long shifts. After this experience, we will not be returning to Gökyüzü restaurant in Chingford.

This is a warning for people with allergies. We recently happened to dine out at Gokyuzu Chingford with my sister who has a gluten allergy. As with any bigger restaurants, we spoke to our server regarding her gluten intolerance and went about our meal, also paid 10 percent service charge on top of our bill because of this! We come home and my sister had a swollen belly, ache and intestinal bleed that showed up in her stool. I called to talk to the manager since they also charged us separately for preparing food with allergies, but they took absolutely zero responsibility. They want a doctor’s report, which she can’t get since she’s only visiting (unregistered with gp) and its not worth going...

"At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."
