I was expecting pretty basic facilities in the bunk house but this is pretty poor. Flimsy walls, tiny rooms, moldy curtains (B2) awful matress. The shared loo/shower room had blood in the wall. The so called kitchen was a kettle and microwave. Garden area was messy. Breakfast ok but not really worth the price. Avoid Rooms: 1 Service: 2 Location: 2

The shower had mold, and there was no caddy for soap, so I had to bend down to use it. The only shelf for cosmetics was a small one above the sink, which wasn't sufficient, forcing me to keep most of my items on the desk. Additionally, there wasn't enough space to prepare a cup of tea. The bathroom was disappointing, and a small coffee table would have been a nice addition to the room. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 3, the service a 5, and the location a 5. I arrived at this hotel for a pre-booked two-day stay, but I ended up walking right back out. To call it unkempt would be an understatement. The photos on the hotel's website are completely misleading. They charged me the full amount for my booking without any notice or consent, and I'm currently disputing this with my bank. As another reviewer mentioned, it feels "dishonest." The sign outside the Glan Aber Hotel displays three stars, but I’ve since reached out to the AA and VisitEngland/Scotland/Wales— the only official organizations that assess hotels in the UK. We chose to upgrade from a standard room to the Glan Aber Suite, which truly had the wow factor for our honeymoon. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. We noticed they had a special offer for a steak meal for two at just £20. While some places might skimp on the portion size, our steaks were perfectly cooked to our liking and accompanied by a pepper sauce made from scratch, not a pre-made mix! Both dinner and the breakfast we enjoyed in the morning were delicious, generous, and beautifully presented.
