Quality went down. Cozze (too cooked) with vongole. Meat too hard served with salsa too oily. Dessert too hard to be good. Service too harsh to be pleasant. Too many bad tooes…

Intrigued by the reviews, while I was in ancone, I went to lunch to the famous stoccafisso, I can say that it was really good, accompanied by a good white wine. Good. If it was useful, I like it.

Situated on the not too fancy station square, this restaurant gives the impression of being in the early 90th century. The food is typical of the Marche region (mainly fish and sea food); and of good quality at very reasonable prices. Voir le carte

I haven't been back for years and I miss it!! I've done nothing but ancon to eat the stout. It is a local dated to say little, but it is also its charm. you can take it alone with potatoes or as I did a unique dish: stocco, potatoes and patchari !!! a delight of flavors. dish abundant and delicious. fast service and courteous enough. for lovers of stoccafisso is a stage not to be missed. a tip, go quickly to avoid traffic jams

The area around the Ancona train station is not fancy or impressive. But it has a certain atmosphere and charm that some could find appealing. Ristorante Gino shares the same qualities. Far from fancy, but with an interesting decor, clean and welcoming. We ordered salad which was exceptionally fresh and spaghetti carbonara which arrived warm and proved way above average. Cost was a little over 30 euros (no wine or soft drinks, just bottled water) which is not too bad for Italy. I f you want a decent meal and don't mind the plain setting, Ristorante Gino is not a bad choice.

historical place of ancona, famous for the stoccafisso. we went specially and we were not disappointed! As soon as they arrived, they brought us some welcome fritters. taken portion of salad with cod, nuts, etc. and unique dishes of stoccafisso: ciavattoni with stoccafisso sauce and stoccafisso al anconetana with potatoes in the same dish. very good and abundant. we had to finish it, also because we ate the delicious bread they brought us. taken water, liter of green house and coffee. spent euro. price adapted to the quantity and quality of the food (the single dish is euro). very recommended for cod (the other dishes do not know why not taste). there is also, probably on order, the brodetto...
