"The food was excellent, as always, but the service left much to be desired. It took a long time for our order to be taken, and when we finally prompted the staff, they were quite unfriendly. Unfortunately, our order was not taken correctly, and there was no acknowledgment of the mistake. The staff also leaned over other diners at our table to serve our food, which felt quite intrusive. Overall, they appeared unsmiling, unyielding, and poorly trained. Thankfully, another waitress brought us coffee; she was friendly and made us feel welcome for the first time during our visit."

Gees has been our favourite Oxford restaurant for some years and its simply become better each year, not the cheapest in town but for ambiance and quality European and fusion food its excellent. Voir le carte

I had the Sunday roast, and it was excellent! The service was great, and the atmosphere at midday on a Sunday was perfect with good vibes all around. They have a decent wine list, and for a three-course meal for two, you're looking at around £100 or more, including a glass of wine.

I had a wonderful meal at Gees. I ordered the pork belly, which didn't mention on the menu that it came with potatoes and vegetables, so I also ordered some chips and broccoli. When my dish arrived, it included roast potatoes and vegetables. I mentioned this to one of the waiters, explaining that I hadn't realized the pork belly came with those sides, and he was incredibly polite and charming about it. He kindly removed the charges for the chips and broccoli from my bill. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. Thank you, Gees!
