"Tolles Restaurant mit abwechslungsreicher Karte. Für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei, von traditionell bayrisch über Burger bis zu Pizza. Wechselnde Aktionstage (z.B. Pulled Pork Burger Donnerstags). Tolles Ambiente mit ruhigem Außenbereich und aufwendig renoviertem Innenbereich. An ausgewählten Tagen im Sommer spiel eine Kapelle. Die Parksituation ist etwas angespannt, Ersatz gibt es nahe der Hauptstraße nur wenige 100 Meter entfernt."

"Finding the Hocheck was a little bit of an exercise, since it sits somewhat above the entry road, accessed by a steep driveway. Once we'd found it, we realized that the name, which means high corner was quite appropriate. We found a parking place with...no problem in front. It was early in the evening, so the restaurant wasn't crowded. The decor was very traditional and cozy, and more rustic than most we'd been in. It had by the entry door what seemed to be one of those old large German household ceramic heating stoves. The waiter was helpful and friendly, and he spoke English well enough. The menus were bound, interestingly, in wooden boards, and there were English-language menus available too. We ordered a variety of plates; schnitzel, cordon bleu, schweinsbraten, and a bauerngroestl. The schweinsbraten was very tasty, and it along with an extra side of spaetzle, was indeed a full meal. Dinner for four was a very reasonable Euros, including water, tea, and soft drinks. And bonus! it began to snow again outside while we were eating (this was on May We were all-around pleased with the Hocheck and will make sure to return there during our next visit to the area."

"We stay here every year. The room are clean, comfortable and warm. Frau Laube is very helpful and welcoming to our family, which consits of parents, children and grand children. Beautiful home made food, service is great, very accommadating. We recommend that you get a...balcony room for the fabulous views and star gazing. This is a high altitude accommadation however there is lots of walks around the mountains that are level, and great for granda's and prams. The beer and snapps are particulary good according to father."

"Wir waren heute zu fünft (3 Kinder, 2 Erwachsene) dort essen. Um Geld zu sparen haben Ich und meine Frau eine normale Jausenplatte geteilt, die 2 Mädels habes sich ein Hirsch Gulasch geteilt und der Bub aß einen Apfelstrudel mit 1 Kugel Vanilleeis. Plus 1 kleines und 4 große Soda Zitrone haben wir 65 Euro gezahlt. Das ist schon sehr überteuert! Zugegeben, dass Hirschgulasch war sehr gut (habe es gekostet) und reichhaltig zubereitet... aber das Jausen Brettl ließ zu wünschen übrig. Zu wenig Butter, das Brot hat nicht mehr frisch geschmeckt, zu wenig Aufstrich, Wurst und Käse. Und dass für knapp 20 Euro.... das geht nicht. Vielleicht kann man hier in Zukunft dass Preis Leistungs Verhältnis besser gestalten. Die Bedienung war freundlich bzw. dass Service war in Ordnung."

"Nette Besitzer, gutes Essen, Zimmer völlig ausreichend. Wir waren für eine Nacht auf Durchreise hier. Den Wimbachklamm war noch das i Tüpfelchen. Herrlich ruhige Ecke, auch für ein etwas tiefer gelegtes Auto gut erreichbar. Parkplätze gibt es direkt vorm Haus. Das Frühstück war toll, alles liebevoll morgens schon hergerichtet mit Sonderwunscherfüllung. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal her. Lieben Dank für die schöne, wenn auch sehr kurze Zeit"
