Furnaria Grond SA - Carte

Decently priced, this cafe was our staple for good bread and quick hearty lunches. Food tends to be salty (but then I find this is the case generally in Switzerland,) but their home made pastas and soups are very nice.

For breakfast or lunch or coffee and pastry, this informal restaurant offers a menu of delicious homemade choices. On one side is a bakery where you can choose a ready-made sandwich or scrumptious dessert to eat in or take out.

We walked round the peninsular by the lake near Sils and this cafe was a haven to dry out a bit . The coffees were excellent and our table had a reasonable view . The pleasant waitress insisted we had to get pastry products from...the bakery and would not get them which surprised me Voir le carte

we had lunch in this café and really enjoyed the delicious food, at a very affordable price. I had a rumsteak with fries and vegetables for just 19,90 CHF. The tea selection is also very good. The café also includes a bakery with delicious-looking pies! and the staff is very friendly.

This is an excellent spot to pop into in the morning to grab some goodies for your picnic lunch on a hike - good sandwiches on fresh bread, pastries, chocolate. Or come in at lunchtime and plant yourself at a table. I had a fine amber Palü beer and a generous helping of very good pizzoccheri, all at a reasonable price.

We stop here almost on an anual basis on our way to Italy. Sils Maria is a delightful little village which is scenic and cute. The backery has a decent menu for lunch at good prices. The highlight is always their cakes - good value but most of all great quality and delicious. It is always a treat to come here for a nice break in our journey. Voir le carte

My wife and I were visiting this beautiful village in Engadin, when the hunger struck we headed for restaurant Grond Engadin. We ordered soups, pasta and burger. The next minute complementary bites were served. more minutes passed and we were served with the full...order. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and worth every single francs. The staff was nice and multilingual and the service was quick. Highly recommended!

Twice we stopped for lunch at the Grond Furnaria, because it looked nice, clean, with many customers enjoying their meals or drinks.The first time, we ordered bradwurst ( veal sausage) with French fries. The sausage wasn't cooked enough, so we sent it back and the waitress agreed that the kitchen was in a hurry to close ( at 4PM.) When she brought the bradwurst back, it was perfect: crusty and warm. The second time, we ordered bradwurst with rösti, and we told the waitress to make sure that the sausage should be well cooked. And so it was! But unfortunately, the rösti were much too salty. But the bread was absolutely delicious! And the service is nice.

We stopped by the Grond Cafe late one afternoon and had a great experience. Service was very friendly (phrasebook Italian and German plus some simple hand gestures and smiles came in handy,) and everything we ordered was terrific: excellent coffee and cappuccino (both were definitely much better than average) and delicious Engadin cake (so good we ordered another serving!).With comfortable seating out on the sidewalk sun terrace (most of the passing traffic was on foot or on bikes,) this was a very pleasant surprise. We'd gladly return to the Grond Cafe on another visit.Tip: While visiting the cafe, be sure to check out the Grond bakery next door -- they sell all kinds of beautiful pastries... Voir le carte
