"My family and I were staying in the area and visited the Funky Monkey for breakfast last week. The 6 of us turned up, were met by a very bubbly girl at the desk and seated easily. We were very impressed by the choice of breakfasts on the menu and not disappointed when they all arrived everything we had ordered present and correct! (Sounds basic but rarely happens! It was all hot and very tasty and set us up well for the day ahead. The service was very good. Efficient and friendly. We would definitely recommend this place and will visit again when we are in the area."

First visit here and really great atmosphere. Full menu with good selection of cakes. Dog friendly with doggy sausages too

I really enjoy Funky Monkey. The food is delicious, and I especially love their smoothies. I make sure to visit at least once a week.

Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. The coffee was nice and smooth, not too bitter. My only complaint was the mushroom were very dark in colour (black) I will definitely return and recommend.

Called in for a quick coffee and cake and was hugely impressed. The name says everything, funky it is. Fabulously warm and friendly staff, lovely staff, great coffee and delicious muffin. What else can I say ?

This was the most terrible experience I've ever had. The noise levels both inside and outside the restaurant were unbearable, and they will kick you out if you linger too long. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

it took 1 hour for my tuna baguette to arrive and when it eventually did arrive there was 2 long strings of hair in my food, not to even mention the latte i ordered was ice cold. when i confronted a staff member i got completely blanked but they made sure to take my payment before i left :

We stopped in for a late breakfast. All staff were pleasant and friendly. the place seemed packed but we were able to get a table. We ordered the same food. Unfortunately the waitress misheard our order on fillings but we weren't overcharged, these things happen, not the end of the world. It wouldnt stop us coming back. They have some interesting takes on drinks and the food tastes great.

We have been regulars at this restaurant and always receive a warm welcome, even our dog is greeted well! The food is diverse and delicious, with the menu changing with the seasons. While it can be disappointing when a favorite item is no longer on the menu, it also provides the opportunity to try new dishes. The food is always well presented and tasty, showing a commitment to quality. We consistently have a great experience and will definitely be returning regularly.
