Absolutely lovely dining experience with joyful hosts and exceptional food. A nice cosy dining room with further seating downstairs, this isn't a big place so definitely worth booking. Highly recommended!

An old-fashioned restaurant in the very best way! The food was beautifully cooked and presented and the service excellent. We felt welcome and that our custom was valued. We went for Sunday lunch and the whitebait was delicious followed by roast pork. My companion had the beef. Voir le carte

This restaurant is incredibly welcoming and serves amazing food, with the added bonus that most dishes can be made gluten-free. One of the owners is gluten intolerant, so they are very knowledgeable about preventing cross contamination, such as specifying if something has been cooked in a shared fryer. I highly recommend this place for delicious food and exceptional service.

My husband and I were so pleased to have found this wonderful place while we were visiting the area. It was a small, intimate and warm dining area and the owners were so welcoming and friendly. The meal was tasty, amazing and reasonably priced for the quality and standard of food. Woukd definitely recommend and we will be back next time we are visiting! I had an absolutely wonderful meal from start to finish. The owners are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They cater to celiac and vegetarian diets without any issues. The presentation and quality of the food are outstanding—truly a work of art! I highly recommend this fantastic restaurant for lunch or dinner. Just a heads up, they are closed on Mondays, so be sure to check their website for accurate opening hours or give them a call.

After a day out at Southerndown walking the clifftops and enjoying the sea air, this was the perfect end to a beautiful day. We had the warmest welcome upon arrival by the lady at front of house, she couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We both had a three course meal and it was very reasonably priced. More importantly, the food was delicious, excellently cooked with fresh ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely be visiting this quirky little restaurant again!

This restaurant is fantastic. While the menu did not specify gluten free items, the waiter quickly identified all dishes that were gluten free or could be made gluten free when my partner mentioned her intolerance. This included appetizers, most of the main courses like a seafood pasta dish, and some desserts. It was refreshing to have a variety of gluten free options for all three courses. I appreciated that they provided homemade gluten free bread for my partner before the meal. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.
