"Not sure where to start, the unreasonably harsh reviews I have now read since eating here earlier today, the staff or the menu. I was looking for places to eat in Hull and initially overlooked this spot. However, I was able to find the menu online and was surprised to find out how big the café menu is, including vegetarian options. I'm guessing that most customers will go there for the homemade ice-cream, coffee and cakes. We were there for lunch and were far from disappointed. The pizza was of the standard of a good Italian restaurant and the Italian flatbread was excellent too. We both had to try the ice-cream while there which was as good as expected. Will have to try one of the selection of homemade cakes next time! The bill was very reasonable for what we had, good value for money. We didn't seem to have the issue a few reviewers have found in conversing with the staff who we found to be chatty and friendly. Anyway, can't believe this place doesn't have 5 stars on Tripadvisor. Have been to much worse places that do!"

Enjoyed a quick gelato sweet treat. Staff are very polite. The shop is also nice and clean too. Definitely worth a try if you have a sweet tooth

The food is fantastic, with incredible desserts. The restaurant is clean and has a well-staffed team. There are too many options to choose from, both savory and sweet.

My granddaughter's favorite place! They have a wide variety of ice cream options. I really enjoyed the chocolate brownie cone. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly.

Fab place. Great to be able to book a table as they are very busy. The hot cookie dough with ice cream is absolutely divine. Only problem is being able to finish it all. Tastes amazing. A lovely treat for us all. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, lovely food Voir le carte

We have just returned from a lovely visit to Caffe Gelato full bellies and happy faces! The choice was great, the price was more than reasonable and the staff were friendly and professional. We often visit here and have never been disappointed with the delicious desserts!

We have been to this place a few times now. We usually have avocado on sour dough toast and eggs benedict with hot drinks. This costs around 18 or less. The staff are really nice. The cafe is warm and clean Brilliant tasting food with decent portions and great price. Highly recommended

Went for a last minute family tea-time treat. We often visit for ice-cream but were tempted by the varied choice of meals. Food was fresh, delicious and devoured! We took the leftovers home and left a little room for desert which was equally yummy. Staff were friendly, helpful and smiley which helped to create a lovely atmosphere. We will be back! I went to Caffe Gelatto today and it was amazing!!! We started with their delicious fresh pizzas which were fantastic. The desserts, including gelato and cookie dough, were excellent. The food was a perfect 10/10 and the service was just as great - the staff were kind and quick to assist. Overall, the food, service, and prices were all fantastic. I highly recommend this place!!

Staff are amazing and good Ice-cream, deserts and coffees however the smell of grease hits you the moment you enter the door. It actually makes me feel sick. I would have walked straight out but my daughter loves the ice-cream. They’ve either recently stopped using their extractor or it has broken as it hasn’t always smelt like dirty oil but it needs sorting! Needed to wash mine and my daughter’s clothes as soon as we got home as we stank of grease! I will go back but will take food out if the smell is as bad as the last couple of times I’ve been.
