restaurant found casually: the menu displayed gave indications of typical Sicilian “casalinghi” dishes and the choice was excellent. both pasta and beans and sauce sausage were excellent as well as dishes served at the other tables. more than reasonable prices and proper service

we entered because the menu presented pasta with sardines. it has satisfied us very much as the croquettes and the flowers of pumpkin in batter. we also took the desserts: a cannolo and fried cassatelle with delicious ricotta. the prices are cheap and the cute place, gets married well with the context of the historical center.

we stopped one night for dinner and hoped to be in the restaurant. instead, we were in the overflow over the lane. the waiter was helpful and attentive until he was overwhelmed by a large group that arrived in the main restaurant. gino, the pizza cook, finished his cigarette to make my calzone. we waited for the bill, but it had begun to rain so we don't mind. more beautiful place to eat better when they can get the ambiente.

Cheap prices but that is no good if the food is so poor. My Pasta alle Carretiera was bland and too oily, and the waiter tried to pull it away from me before I finished it, delivering the main dish too early very rude....My Swordfish Rolls main course was inedible there was no fish in the rolls and they were dry and tasteless, accompanied by equally dry and tasteless potatoes. I couldn't eat them, yet no enquiry from the waiter. The house red was very poor another client came up near my table and handed both of their table's glasses back to the manager, so I should have known.
