The food is superb, a very wide choice and cooked to a very high standard, excellent starters selection for three. The ambience is good, but the service was a bit brusque and haphazard.

Great food, great service. Best Chinese in the area. Enjoyed an 18th birthday meal celebration with family. The restaurant was full and had a lovely atmosphere. 2nd time here and can't fault it.

Food was served at different times so didnt eat at same time. Late food was warm at best. Servers ignored or was rude when chased. Very disapointed evening been here many years and by far the worst experience we've had.

Went there after a few years. Unfortunately the quality of the food and service have deteriorated. Unlikely will go back soon; our local Chinese offers more appetising dishes. This place is not what it used to be. Steep price rise on top leads to this 2 star review.

Went for a friend's birthday and was very impressed. It's not especially cheap but is very much worth the money. I had a chicken satay followed by a lamb dish which were both fantastic, and everyone else loved their dishes as well. Service was quick and friendly too. Voir le carte

15 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. Half an hour before we were asked for our food order. An hour before we got our starters. Over 2 hours for the main courses to arrive. The food was lovely, but by the time it arrived my daughter was fast asleep with her head on the table.

After a terrible visit a few months back we arranged another lunch here to give it another shot as historically the food has always been great. However, sadly it was to the same standard again. The chicken was like rubber, the satay sauce awful, the batter on the crispy prawns and crispy beef was soft and soggy. We were rushed the entire time, the waitresses was wanting to quickly clear our table when we hadn 't finished. Three times she was asked not to. The staff are rude and intrusive. When we eventually left, the staff had their coats on and leaving with us. I had booked this in advance too, so the restaurant were well aware of our arrival. A ruined 60th Birthday…! My friends have been frequent visitors of Emperors Chinese restaurant for years however after last Friday we will now NEVER go back! For my 60th birthday we decided to go and have a meal at Emperors They suggested they would bring out a tiny cake as part of the birthday celebration … great we thought ..! …However when the bill came they expected us to pay for the birthday cake as a desert . I questioned it and requested to speak to a supervisor, but they declined to speak with me and said I had to pay for the small birthday cake.
