"We chose this as a convenient mid point venue for a birthday celebration at the Lodge Hotel Coleraine. We were greeted by unsmiling staff and shown to our table. We made our choices. The starters arrived promptly and were OK. When the main course arrived, the waitress unfortunately overbalanced her tray and the salad with blue cheese sauce slid off into my friend's bag and all over the floor! These things happen but not once did she apologise. My other friend had chosen the nut roast. This had been over microwaved to the point of cremation. She drew it to the attention of the waitress who just looked blankly at her! She finally twigged she should ask if she'd like a replacement. Again no apology. The other two mains, fish, were uninspiringly mediocre to say the least. When we'd finished these, a waitress came up with the dessert menu and said we could choose one on the house. I chose Christmas pudding which turned out to be sponge with 6 sultanas!! My two friends wanted liquer coffees and it took 20 mins before we could attract anyone's attention. We were then told the coffee machine would be closing in 10 minutes! We got the coffee and I asked for the bill and a chat with the duty manager. The chap came and chatted to me whilst I explained our unfortunate experience. He was very apologetic. I asked him to review the bill before presenting it to us. He came back with a cheesecake with a candle in and took £5 off the bill! Never again! More training def required."

We decided to go here before cinema in Coleraine. Wasn't overly busy at 6pm so got served quickly. We have been a number of times with kids and always great service and food.

The staff at this restaurant are amazing. They are very attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food is also delicious, especially the vegetarian options I tried. I was happy with every meal I had.

Outstanding!! Outstanding!! I spent the weekend at the lodge. Checked in on Friday 8th for a two-night stay. Had dinner at Elliot's Bistro both nights, with incredible service and delicious food. Kudos to the Lodge Hotel once again, we can't wait for our next visit!! Voir le carte

We always enjoy the delicious food at this beautiful bistro. The staff are consistently polite, friendly, and go out of their way to make our experience special. The atmosphere is fantastic, making it one of the top spots on the coast. We always look forward to our visits and highly recommend it!

Ate at this establishment on two occasions during our stay on the north coast. Both visits were excellent in terms both of food and service. One of our visits was during the Early Bird menu and we were surprised how keen the price was for meals which really were of quite sizeable proportions. This restaurant is always busy and it's easy to see the reason why.

Just wanted to say what an excellent night we had with the girls once again. Food was amazing, with fantastic choice of both bistro style food and Xmas dinners. The bistro was really busy and staff were friendly and our food arrived promptly and hot. The new sweet menu has some amazing puddings can’t wait to go back for the cherry roulade and the mulled wine syrup sundae . Well done to all concerned great place to visit. Voir le carte

The saucy chicken chicken with tobacco onions and choice of sauce(we chose pepper sauce)..chicken had no seasoning, pepper sauce no flavour..food was quite bland..the garlic fries were nice..the potato mash lacked seasoning...the chicken pasta was saturated in oil..quite tasty but far far too oily..the plate was swimming in it..the desserts were ok..the crunching cheesecake was nice..the pavlova was nice..the lemon curd trifle had too much fresh cream..lovely hotel, very pleasant staff, but the food disappointing.

Our 5 year old grandson said “ This dinner is delicious” . Thank you again to the Lodge Hotel !! Exceptional!! service and delicious food !! We got the train from Portrush and the hotel is a short 15 minute stroll away from Coleraine train station. Joan from the lodge seated us in the quieter bar area as one of our grandsons is autistic. We were able to order him plain penne pasta which they cooled down ,suggesting to close the door in case he runs out and providing us with a plastic container so he could eat his food. It’s really is more than going extra mile. The chef at the lunch carvery is always so friendly and helpful. There’s a great selection of food to choose from , carvery or order...
