"We have visited this restaurant several times, but not in many months. When we arrived in the middle of the morning, the food options were quite limited, especially in terms of hot food. I decided to go for a bacon roll, which came out very crispy from the oven. The cakes were satisfactory for the women, but nothing here is budget-friendly. My large coffee came in a disappointing plastic cup, as did the mint tea. We chose to come here because it is local, dog-friendly, and spacious, but the lack of a proper coffee shop experience, limited food choices, and high prices make it unlikely that we will return. It used to be better."

nice enough once you have got past the team, nice decor, odd staff with no greeting and extreme awkwardness. Good coffee, nice food

I wanted the coffee beans as an Easter treat for a friend; however, this was my first and last visit. And no matter how tasty the coffee turns NOT ever going back. Having set out to buy 6 different varieties of beans of 100gr...

I love this coffee shop, love the coffee but have to agree with previous comment. All staff are lovely, helpful and friendly except one. Never a smile, briefest interaction possible with customers and their coffee is often lukewarm. They really do not seem to enjoy... Voir le carte

This restaurant is the perfect pit stop for us while traveling along the A27. We also discovered GuageMaster Model Railway shop nearby, which was definitely worth a visit. The coffee and cakes were excellent, and we will definitely be returning when we are in the area.

Indifferent unsmiling service and time spent in cafe made fraught by overloud conversation between trade female member of staff and possible new client. The whole cafe heard every word spoken some of which was about the profitability of certain drinks the whole conversation was overpowering we will not return.

So so slow service. Quick to take your money and then forever the wait to get your coffee. Normally get a pastry or similar but today there was some mind blowing prices being displayed so thought better of it. Spotted a customer cleaning the cutlery from the cutlery tray which looked rank. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK Voir le carte

Stumbled across this place whilst visiting area. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, fabulous Americano coffee, also had a cheeky cake, raspberry Bakewell which was delicious. Sat in cafe which was clean and comfortable. Good parking Great little shop where you can get probably any type of tea or coffee you could ever wish for! If you're in the area and you are a coffee (or tea) lover definitely recommend you drop in.

I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant before, but this Sunday at 14:30 was different. The male server was very unfriendly, rude, and seemed uninterested. We felt like we were a bother, especially when asking about the cakes we were ordering. I don't think it's unreasonable to seek clarification on a product when paying £4.25 for a small slice. However, the two female baristas who made our coffees were friendly as usual, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. I may not return in a hurry.

"Went with my partner who’d been here a good few years before and had fond memories of it. It’s changed! I was told on the phone it was advisable to book, I have no idea why as it was practically empty. We were pretty much ignored when we got there by an older woman behind the bar but hoped it would get better. The elderly woman on another table went off to find her own pepper so I should’ve known then. We ordered drinks and one pint of flat coke later we asked to send it back, I was told it was indeed real Coke by the sullen looking waitress wearing cycling shorts. She then admitted it wasn’t real Coke and did he want a bottle of that. We were waiting so long for our food that dirty glasses were accumulating on the table and at one point we put them up on the window sill. Then noticed a dirty big stain on the table cloth and a candle holder with old wax in but no candle left there on the table. We asked how much longer the food was going to be as we both had work in the morning and it turned upafter 60 minutes and I wish we’d have left 20 minutes earlier when we’d thought of doing so. When it came it was a shock to see the £27 sirloin steak. Over priced and average at best. We had to ask the waitress ‘can you please take all these dirty glasses while we eat?’ The meal was already ruined and our evening out spoiled not by the food but by the shoddy way we were treated from start to finish. Even the lemon had to be sent back! No juice, fell away from the skin into mush so god knows how long that’d been there. Apparently she needed to tell the chef but brought back more of the same. We had to quibble the bill afterwards as the pint of flat cola syrup sent back was still on there. The manageress or whatever her job title is should be embarrassed at how customers are treated but unfortunately it was obvious she didn’t care and no apology given and she treated us exactly the same. If o was on my own I wouldn’t have paid so they’re lucky we did. It was one thing after another. We came home feeling like we’d been taken advantage of and I wish I’d said more at the time. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, I chalk it up to experience and move on so you can imagine how bad it was. If you like fawlty towers you may enjoy this farce but we’ll put this down to one place we’ll never go back to and will NEVER recommend. Joke of a place. What a shame."
