"We stopped by this little hole in the wall after braving the crowds of the Colosseum and walking back to our flat yesterday afternoon. What a great choice stopping in was. Our waitress was right there with menus, asking what we wanted and helping us with the translation. A table of ten walked in right after us so we quickly ordered a bruschetta to share, pasta carbonara for myself, and Pasta e' fagioli for the lovely K, adding a bottle of water (it was not from the tap) and a bottle of house white wine. The wine did not come with a label, but it was quite nice given the price (9 euro) so can't comment on the name of the product. The table of ten ordered, our wine and water were delivered, quickly followed by our bruschetta. While we enjoyed that starter, two large pizzas came out for the table of ten in record time. Our bruschetta done, that plate was cleared and our lunch arrived soon after. Both dishes were very good, well seasoned, plentiful and simply displayed which was what we had anticipated. Bread accompanied the soup, and all worked in great harmony. The decor could use a little sprucing up, but this is Rome and places such as this abound. This one set itself apart for us with the food, our waitress and the speed with which we were served. Will be back."

To be brief, the food is tasteless, the service is slow and rude, and even the music skips like a broken record. Keep walking. This is Italy for goodness sakes- how can the pasta be bad?!

Very authentic Italian food run by a family. Best risotto I've had! It even has a view of the Colosseum in the background. The family serves the table and are friendly and quick. Lovely find!

This place is so gas. I got Carbonara and Tirimisu and some appetizers and it felt like an angel had just came in my mouth. All the haters in the comments are dumb cunts that don't know **** about good food. Service was great as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you for your time l.

Awesome family owned Italian restaurant. The pizza is delicious pizza. My little one says it's the best bolognaise she has ever eaten. We had an incredible carbonara as well as a delicious mushroom risotto. Being in a somewhat residential neighborhood away from the large monuments means it's authentic and they work hard to make great food.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Rome. I go there every time I am in the city, which is quite frequently. Last summer I was ecstatic walking down the street hoping to see its sign and wondering whether it was able to survive the pandemic. After another amazing meal there (penne gorganzola arugula is my favorite) I looked around and realized the local Romans (who obviously know where to eat) kept it alive during the pandemic. It's places like this I'm glad the tourists don't know about! There are several due colonne in Rome btw and I bet the (few) bad reviews here literally reviewed the wrong place. That's annoying. Check the address.

Came here because it was late at night and we were starving. Even with that, usually anything would taste good, but for some reason, this place didn't cut it. When we arrived around 10pm, there was a tourist family sitting outside, an Italian couple on a date, and an extended Italian family having a large group dinner in the back. They clearer were friends with the owners as they were mingling with them while the rest of the restaurant lacked attention and service. It took them a long time, even by European standards, to get us our water and bread. Once we finally got our food, my spaghetti Carbonera tasted poorly. I had thought they forgot about us, but it just took along time for there not...

4.5 stars overall. My wife and I had completed the nighttime Colosseum Tour and were searching for a restaurant late. After being turned away from several places, we peeked into Due Colonne. A couple of customers were finishing up outside, and the inside was set for the next day. The gentlemen (owner? sitting at a table in back considered our request to eat something simple, then kindly waved us in. SERVICE: 5.0. Though we entered late, the service was friendly. FOOD: 4.5. Vegetable Soup: 4.5. My wife really enjoyed it. Straccetti (Arugula with beef slices and Parmesan cheese shavings : 4.5. My dish. Excellent. We each ordered one glass of house wine, one white and one red. The glasses were...

For my first evening in Rome I thought I 'd give this place a try. I had the cappriciosa pizza 12€ and daughter had the mushroom risotto 10€. Also had a small carafe of the house wine 5€ because when In Rome... sorry had to do it lol. Service was pleasant and they speak English here, thank goodness because my Italian is not so great. Ambiance is warm and authentic, paintings decorate the walls and you feel like you 're in a family restaurant. Outdoor seating is also available. Honestly while I appreciated the bits of assorted mushroom, the consistency of the risotto wasn 't very creamy. Not sure if they used Carnaroli or Arborio rice. Wasn 't mushy and still had a bite to it which is how it...

This place deserves a standing ovation! I'm about to make it a temple, it's that good. Super close to the colosseo yet no tourists were here for dinner. It was all locals and a few french couples. I love the vibe here, everyone was so friendly and made sure we knew what we were ordering. I got the spaghetti bolognese with cheese. I forgot what cheese it had spinkled on top but it was addicting. Okay, let me say this slowly. It's nothing you've ever had and the sauce wasn't sour or sweet but it had the perfect balance from sweet tomatoes. It was so good, I nearly cried. Yeah, I'm a bit dramatic but seriously- this is a local spot y'all! Cleaned my plate is 8 minutes! Yep, timed it. I also got...
