"Driven by the positive reviews, I decided to go to try their kitchen. I never did. As soon as we enter we are greeted by a waiter who makes us sit in the garden. My home garden that was no longer neat and clean, there were Chinese solar lights hanging on the trees now broken and left as ornament of the plant and plastic tables randomly put, now discolored by the sun and the weather. Despite the bad impression we sit with the hope at least of eating something good, but it was not so. The waiter brings us the menus to let us decide the dishes to choose from. After a few seconds he returns to the table recommending the appetizer that we did not want to take. The same, however, insisted that we take one in two to train while waiting for the first. We therefore decide to take only one appetizer, to shake off the insistent waiter. After a while, the chef or owner who had the command advises us to try his super-quoted dishes. I take a plate of pasta with friarielli, anchovies of the cantabrico, raisins and crumbled tarallo, while my partner a plate of patri with the polyp. Second, the chef eliminates the fry I had chosen, telling me that he wanted me to try a fresh slice of swordfish in the Catalan, while my partner takes shrimps. Then we ask the waiter to tell us a few bottles of prosecco. The same mentions some bottles not present in the menu, and then strongly recommend a bottle of Franciacorta rosé. My partner and I decide to take the bottle of Franciacorta and to our request the waiter exclaims saying: here however, the asticella goes up. To this statement I ask him to be clearer with this statement and the same tells me that the price of the bottle was high. I was almost tempted to get up and go away, but we decide not to ruin our day by staying with the hope at least to eat well. The long-awaited appetizer arrives at the table. It consisted of marinated anchovies full of vinegar, an anemic sea salad, a savory smoked swordfish and other incommentable. My wife's pasta was good, as well as the prawns, but mine was inevitable. The pasta was cold, full of liquid with the taralli that were now soaked and the anchovies in the cantabric had never swim. The second then a real disappointment, a miserable slice of swordfish of the worst freezing, without flavor. Then in seeing the label of the prosecco we notice that it was not a Franciacorta, but a counter prosecco. We call the owner to point out that the bottle was not the one we requested and the same reported that it was definitely a distraction of the waiter. Delusi of everything we ask for the account that then turned out of 115,00 euros, very salty for what we ate. I strongly disagree. I will not return."

"We had a wonderful experience in this restaurant. the high level location with wonderful view. we were welcomed by the owner in a friendly and professional manner. a vokta sitting at the table (we were 3 couples) the waiter explained the menu in a very pleasant and exhaustive way. they offered us a specialty of the house as welcome and then first second and sweet side offered by the wine house coffee and total bitter € 35 per person absolutely in the norm but especially for the quality of the courses. definitely to recommend and above all to return"

"While food in this area is generally excellent service can sometimes be hit and miss. Not so here. This was our 3rd visit and each one was better than the last. This time our server was Anthony. A more patient and caring waiter doesn't exist. I'm a firm believer in that even the best meal can be ruined by a bad server. This young man can teach other servers how it's done right. Now the food. We split a seafood salad to start. It was fresh and beautifully presented and plenty for 2 to share. Next we split an order of spaghetti with clams. Again more then enough for 2 to share as a 1st course. The clams were fresh and plentiful. The dish was superb. For the main course we each had the grilled mixed seafood. Fresh not overly salted or greasy. All thru the meal the chef came out to make sure everything was to our liking. What a treat! We asked for a special wine with dinner but explained a full bottle was too much for us. Again no problem. He opened the bottle we wanted and sold it to us by the half liter another special service I've never experienced before. Dessert was heavenly too. We both had the homemade pasta cotta with homemade berry preserves. The entire meal was only €65. This is one of our favorite restaurants not only in Italy but in the world. A real special place. We'll be back soon."

"Historic Verola restaurant 2 steps from Santa Salome. Mid-August, 9 people, fixed menu, truly spectacular. Intense flavors, homemade, lunch outdoors, under a tree, time therefore spent in the best way We arrived with a smile and left with an even bigger smile Parking 10 meters by the way (I recommend stopping instead from the traffic police station towards Chalet and then walking up here, you can enjoy Veroli)"

"great and quick service with friendly staff and prepared. very abundant and quality portions, meat is really delicious, I highly recommend it. bread also; it is the dark one, a rarity found in restaurants. oil that oano is the local one as well as vegetables and meat. the pasta is made at home and the value for money. highly recommended."
