"back in this restaurant during our holiday trip last month by april 2022, six years after our first visit. the food and the service were so good that we came here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. it is centrally located in...Puerto de la cruz, right next to the city church. they can either sit inside, or even better, at their outside sitting area, watching people stroll around while they hear the church bells. we started our Venezuelan gastronomical firm with tequeños (fried, white cheese, which is covered with a flaked teig that is a Venezuelan snack.) they can immerse this in spicy dips (avocado sauce or hot sose) or a sweet dip (blueberry jam) that was a hot one. my wife had a huge white cheese empanada; my lacher had a cacheapa con queso (as a maize pancake filled with a huge piece of white fresh cheese that melts after the fried), and I had the pabellón empanada (with bark meat, plantain, black beans and cheese). for drinking we had freshly prepared fruit juices (sum), a cold hahnbier and, finished with two delicious coffees! five stars for excellent quality homemade Venezuelan food, great portions and an unbeatable price. in the hope that it will not bring us six more years for our next visit to puerto de la cruz, we will definitely be back at delicias vene canarias. thanks to the owners and their employees for such a great experience!"

We shared a number of arepas, some of which were extremely good and some of which were a little blah. What really stood out was the fruit smoothies, to which we amplified with a separate order of rum. The cost is good, so I recommend...going with a number of people, sharing a bunch of arepas, and figuring out which are your favorites for a return visit.
