"On the way back from Tuscany we stopped off overnight in Varna. In search of a decent meal but without a plan we walked up the main road and found two almost identically named restaurants directly opposite one another: The Goldenes Lamm looked like standard Italo-Germanic fare, so we crossed the busy road and went into the Goldenes Adler. It's rustic and simultaneously well lit and inviting, when you see it from the inside you realise the building must be hundreds of years old. Friendly service, classy north Italian food and reasonably priced Italian wines. At the next table the diners were tucking into bistecca fiorentina but we dined on pumpkin ravioli, grilled vegetables and quick fried beef strips with rocket and grana padana, ccompanied by world class fried potatoes. Very reasonably priced deserts, a steal at €4.50 a pop. Also drank an enjoyable bottle of nebbiolo for €22. Nice friendly place, full of local diners."

"The restaurant is located in the town center and has a very nice terrace. (We visited in summertime . As it seemed to be very popular, we made a reservation and did not regret it. The menu has something for everyone (pizza, meat, fish, veggie,… . Service is fast and friendly. We tried the risotto and schnitzel, and this was very nice. We returned another day it worked without reservation and tried the salmon with couscous, guacamole and passion fruit. We thought this was an unusual combination, but really liked it. Prices are very reasonable. This is a place to return to when we visit Brixen in the future!"

"We very much enjoyed our dinner at Brix 0.1! It was the perfect end to a lovely day in Brixen Bressanone. We arrived a little early so we sat by the lake and watched the ducks, turtles and fish until our reservation time. Upon arriving we were struck by the beautiful building and the inviting patio that looked out over the lake. We were greeted by a friendly staff member that spoke excellent English (sadly our German and Italian is quite limited) and who sat us at a table on the patio with lovely views of both the lake and the building. We started with the drink of the month and appetizers followed by our entrees of sea bass and the paella. Both were beautifully presented and as tasty as they were beautiful. We finished dinner with the Strawberry sorbet, a dessert wine and a coffee. Really, the night was just perfect, the service was excellent and the food terrific. Would highly recommend for a lovely night out in Brixen."

"Go for alternative options even if they are 2 or 3 star hotels. Definitely not a hospitable place and a 4-star experience.We had to extend our stay in the area for a couple of days and having experienced a great stay in another 4-star hotel in the area, we decided to go for Pacher and a double comfort room.1. It was not at all a 4-star hotel, more close to a 2-star or a bad 3-star in my opinion2. Room insulation was so bad as room was noisy I could here the guy in the next room snoring and speaking on the phone3. Room was cold even when heating was operating to maximum. We were told to change room but we didn't want to pack baby's and our stuff back in the evening and move to another room.4. The Bar was not open all day for snacks which is not what you would expect in a 4-star hotel5. No room service, although some of the staff were really nice and did it for us6. The last night at 8pm I wanted to pay as we were leaving early next morning and I asked one of the gentlemen who told me that the reception was closed. I said we are leaving early tomorrow and would like to pay now. Then he called someone on the phone to come and get the payment (3 minutes worth of task) and after he called him, he was speaking in german to himself like he was angry or he was doing me a favour. This was not polite at all especially since you have a non german speaking guest.6. Location not great as Bressanone city was 40mins walk and there was not much to do around.Really disappointed and not worth the money."

"nice place in bressanone on the long river where there are interesting burgers with large portions of chips, but two heavy negative notes influence: 1 vegan bad to propose at full price a vegan hamburger made of aubergines, bread, salad and cucumbers. on the main page of the menu I read that there was as a dish apart from the burger of lentils I hired there was in the sandwich, but they thought that maybe we were not worthy so vegan, if they grind the grass, maybe I miss if they notice 2 prices to review the beautiful paninazzo on described with 4 shortened vegetables and offered as a vegan alternative deserved the same cost of the normal sandwich; I imagine the scene: However the worst is not this, but 1,50 € of water glass. then: 34 eur for meat burger vegan beer medium water glass, do vobis."
