"Matera restaurant a few steps from the Sassi. Very nice location, excellent welcome. We had a mixed starter of cold cuts and cheeses with some hot dishes. All very good. The meat is very good and tender. Good firsts. Unfortunately, an order was not processed properly and after 30 minutes of waiting I asked the reason for the delay. I noticed that the very kind waitress checked the order and 2 first courses had not been added. When she returned she told me that they would take care of it in 2 minutes. All true, a few minutes and the first ones arrive and here too I have some doubts. I must say, however, that when I made my wife aware of my wife's pepper intolerance, they were attentive. I have some small doubts about the account, even considering the rather serious error I would have expected attention but being a tourist city it is okay. My advice is that small details make the difference."

The waitress was polite, fast and friendly, as was the owner who was quite attentive. Unfortunately the food is absolutely not up to par, you can't serve a sausage from the discount store, among other things not grilled as written on the menu, you have to understand that whoever comes to eat can also be from the vicinity, so understand about food... only tourists exist. Insipid soup made entirely of water, bread balls that tasted like nothing but acceptable compared to the rest.

Excellent cuts and paccheri with caciocavallo fondue, chopped pistachios and bran peppers. Friendly and helpful staff.
