"I recently had a business lunch with a colleague at Da Regina in Polcenigo. This is a quaint little restaurant located at the base of the Dolomites, featuring both seafood and meat dishes. The main dining room consist of about tables, adequately spaced apart...from each other to afford private conversation. It is the end of the winter season and the room was heated by a wood-burning stove. Another dining room opens up to a covered terrace outback for when the weather becomes nicer. Tables are covered with checkered tablecloths and the service ware (plates utensils) were nice. There is limited parking in a small courtyard, which could prove to be a problem on a busy day. I believe the woman who took our orders and served us was Regina, the owner, who was very gracious and accommodating. She brought us a colorful bouquet of fresh carrots and celery, accompanied with a flavored mayonnaise for dipping. We were not provided with menus which is often acceptable when dining in Italy. Regina asked if we were interested in eating seafood or meat dishes. We were interested in seafood so Regina commenced to recite what was fresh in the kitchen. There were several creative and tempting suggestions; however we selected the Paccheri with a Shrimp and Mozzarella sauce. Normally, one does not associate cheese with seafood; however this dish was excellent and featured a light seafood sauce that was worthy of using a piece of bread (scarpetta) to mop it all up. For our main meal, we enjoyed two Orata (Sea Bream fish) roasted in the oven with potatoes and herbs. Regina deboned and served the fish tableside. The natural juices from the fish and herbs greatly enhanced the flavor of the potatoes and were a nice combination. We had a little room for dessert; however, Regina sadly reported that she only had two desserts left which lead me to believe they may be leftovers and not very fresh. We passed on dessert and ordered cafes. Prices were reasonable and our meal, along with a couple of glasses of house wine and a bottle of water totaled Euro. I suggest you try Da Regina if you are in the area. I will return."

I always like it when the service in a club is attentive, and here is definitely! in addition to very friendly and pleasant. The dinner was great! a special applause for the applause we have taken: fried prawns and scallops and grated canestrelli. not to mention the cake: I don't think I'm exaggerating if I say I've eaten the best black forest ever!

I will begin with the good things. the people they served our food were good. That's just it. we ordered four Carbonara dishes and after an hour they waited for us spaghetti with whistle. we tell them we ordered carbonara, and they recognize their fault. they take our dishes back and after five to ten minutes they bring the same spaghetti without the shellfish and they served us as carbonara. the children could not eat it, of course. they reduced to the bill that I would not recommend for sure. the worst restaurant in milano.

ok, I visited ende august when a sleeping Italian village goes in complete overhaul, so I lowered the expectations, at least in service. sad, very little went well. from the approach, cracked drinking glass, stale brot, no weinlist, etc. honestly, they had only red and wein (sweet and dry) wein from any reason. in principle all tables were given only the possibility of house wine. why? scallops are the quality of the olive garden. the garnel starter was small, but quite good, married sesame and honey. mustels were standard. polenta did not arrive despite the order. gnocchi was remarkable bland a simple one. the mushroom color was painful blanden. only a terrible waste of high-quality ingredi...

"We 've been to Alla Trotta Blu three or four times over the past few years and we have always enjoyed the cuisine, as well as the friendly service. New owners took over this restaurant in December 2012 and unfortunately, I didn 't enjoy my meal as much as in the past. The setting/location is stunning, situated among the green forests of Caneva and the Pedemontana and along a pond stocked with trout, which eventually end up on your dinner plate. The outdoor terrace, on a nice day, is a relaxing place to unwind and leave all stress behind. Ducks geese float by and provide peaceful entertainment for all. The new owners made some design changes with new modern lighting fixtures and a fresh coat of paint. The entire dining room in windowed, affording views of the peaceful nature outdoors. Tables are draped with white table clothes and the service ware (plates utensils) was satisfactory. The service provided by two young women was unpolished and not very professional. I believe they may be in the learning phase of waitressing. We were a group of four people on this Saturday evening and only one other couple showed up for dinner. The menu is extremely limited, offering a trout based tasting menu for 30 euro. There were also alla carte choices comprised of 3 antipasto dishes, three primi (pasta/soup) dishes and three entrees. I started with the white lasagna made with a trout ragu. The portion was small and had alternate green and white pasta layers with a cheesy bechamel. This was the best dish of my meal. Bravi! For my entree I had Trout Fish and Chips that were served rolled up in paper on a dinner plate. The fish was actually breaded and not batter dipped. The flavor was bland and unfortunately, the fried potatoes were soggy and mushy. The portion was of adequate size. I accompanied this with a side mixed salad that was fresh. I did taste samples from everyone else 's meals and found nothing to be remarkable. The raw trout carpaccio was just that, small cubes of trout, mounded into three piles on a serving dish. No condiment and very little flavor. The grilled trout platters were unremarkable as well. We decided not to have dessert; however the dessert menu sounded tempting, having 6 or 7 different desserts to choose from. Prices were reasonable with antipasti, primi and entrees ranging between 9 to15 euro. There was also a beef dish available on the menu for people who don 't want to eat trout. I don 't know if Japanese Sushi is still available as the previous owner 's wife was Japanese. Our meal, with two half liters of house wine, two bottles of water and two cafes totaled 105 euro. Upon paying our bill, we were offered complimentary glasses of homemade grappa. Alla Trota Blu is closed on Tuesdays and reservations can be made, though not necessary."
