"The Cafe Cup is fine I guess. I know a lot of people like it for it's cozy and Bohemian atmosphere, and drinkable coffee, which is fine. But the food is not really worth it. The service is also, well.... serviceable. I ordered cake there a few times with friends and it was fine, but nothing to write home about. Better, in fact than the food. My husband went last week for lunch, and I ordered a panini. It took forever to come. Unfortunately, I got a toasted sandwich, which is not exactly a panini. The salad I ordered was not too fresh, and the dressing a tad too oily. My husband ordered a cheese plate, and rather than little chunks of cheese, was served little slices, which was weird. My hot chocolate wasn't "real" hot chocolate- it was just powder mixed in with barely warm milk. The whipped cream was from a can. He wasn't overwhelmed with his cheeseplate, but still managed to eat it. We wouldn't go back, except maybe if our friends who really likes the place wanted us to come, and if we do, we will stick to cappuccino and cake. That's your best bet. But cute place, really fine for coffee."

Hier kann man sehr gemütlich frühstücken. Es gibt Brötchen frisch vom Bäcker und der Cappuccino ist ausgezeichnet. Im Sommer kann man sehr schön draußen sitzen!

Ein richtig gutes Kaffeehaus wie man es in Deutschland sonst leider sehr sehr selten findet. Das Publikum dort ist sehr bunt, wie es sich für ein gutes Kaffeehaus gehört.

Приятная располагающая атмосфера в кафе, расположенном в центре, в историческом доме. Дружелюбный персонал, хороший выбор выпечки и приятный, но не исключительный кофе. Уютный дворик, где можно уединиться и расслабиться в теплую погоду. В кафе всегда полно народу, в основном, местные.

Entschleunigen bei einem leckeren Kaffee! Das kleine und feine Cafe bietet sehr leckeren Kaffee und andere tolle Heißgetränke in einem gemütlichen Ambiente mitten in Detmold. Auch die kleinen Gerichte sind sehr zu empfehlen, als Geheimtipp kann ich die "heisse weisse Schokolade" geben. Der Kaffee ist hier echt großartig!

"Schlecht umsorgt" war meine Empfindung hier im von anderen Gästen gelobten Café .Man musste regelrecht um die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals kämpfen.Der gebrachte Cappucino war von unglaublich schlechtem Geschmack. Es schmeckte so, als sei die Milch schon schlecht geworden. Kuchen in TK Qualität.Der Straffzetel für den überzogenen Parkticket wäre in Vergessenheit geraten, wenn der Cappuccino gut gewesen wäre. Detmold is a town which is steeped in history. It's architecture and beauty is to behold. I have stayed in the "Cup" apartments on many occasions. I have always found the interiors spotless, well equipped and quaintly furnished. A bar/bistro is integral to the building, but by no means does this make it a noisy venue. It is right in the town centre. The proprietor is friendly, helpful and always on hand. Local parking can be arranged.
