"Despite its beautiful garden centre setting, the overall experience at the cafe was disappointing. Upon ordering lunch with my family, we were directed to another till for coffees and payment. The oat milk latte I requested was made by a supervisor who seemed disinterested and simply placed it on my tray. The service from the other staff member at the till was unfriendly, especially when my elderly mother had difficulty paying. We opted to sit inside due to the weather, but our table was sticky and needed to be cleaned twice by a slow-moving girl chewing gum. Our food arrived lukewarm after a long wait, although the server who brought it out was apologetic. While numerous staff were visible, it seemed like only one person was tasked with delivering food. Overall, I would not consider returning to the cafe if I come back for plant shopping with my family."

The cafe here hugely overpriced and the cakes/ tray bakes taste like they are made with cheap ingredients. Avoid

The food has diminished in value for money in my view. When you consider you have to queue then find your own table so less staffing costs i think the costs are too high.

I ordered the gluten-free Christmas Dinner and was pleasantly surprised to receive extra slices of turkey instead of pigs in blankets or stuffing. My friend ordered the regular Christmas Dinner and we both enjoyed the delicious homemade food. The portions were generous and we would definitely recommend this restaurant for a satisfying meal. I had breakfast at the cafe and it was terrible. The potato bread was extremely greasy, so much so that I had to remove it from my plate and soak up the grease with napkins. The soda bread was also fried in a lot of fat, evident from its browned exterior. The prices were surprisingly high for the quality of food. On a better note, they did have a large selection of scones and tray bakes that looked appetizing.

This is a great spot. We visit it regularly and it is always busy and the food is lovely. OH had the rhubarb crumble which he loves and the portions are huge which he also loves. I am always pleased to visit somewhere which has dairy free options, This café has a variety of plant milk and also offers dairy free treats which is great and usually not an option for me in cafes. I usually have the raspberry cream which is really good.

We like this place. Good to visit particularly on a wet day. Food in cafe also good. However organisation needs to be reviewed. My wife and I visited on Tuesday 2nd August. We decided to have lunch. The cafe was quite busy so we had to wait quite a long time for our meal to arrive. Not a problem. However when I returned to the till- there was a gap in the long queue- I was told that if I wanted coffee I would have to rejoin that queue. We didn’t and left. Voir le carte

We visited the garden centre during the Easter holidays to meet up with friends with children. This place was perfect we could peacefully eat breakfast while the kids played away in the wooden play area. I don’t think the prices are any dearer than other surrounding cafes. The food was really beautiful. I had the pancakes and bacon maple syrup it was soo good. My husband had scone chili sausage roll which he highly recommends. The staff where all very nice and helpful. There was plenty of seating to choose from. The toilets where clean. Really can’t complain. We will defiantly be back to visit. A Perfect spot for mum catch ups. The kids loved it.

I usually visit the café at the garden centre but was really shocked at the price when I visited on the 10.08.22. I ordered 1 x cheese and ham toastie, 1 x cheese and onion toastie and 2 x pink lemonade, they describe this as dressed sandwiches and all that was with it was a pinch full of green leaves and 2 x cherry tomatoes, (no coleslaw and no crisps). This was £21.98. I know prices have gone up but this is outrageous and a total rip off. There was no please or thankyou by any of the girls that served me at any point. I also had to clean my own table before I sat down and the restaurant was extremely quiet, so there was no excuse as to why the tables were not clean. Very disappointed and w...

"Visited lost Found in Portstewart last Friday afternoon for some lunch. Checked the outdoor menu which stated food served until 3.30pm. Went ahead on inside. Started to briefly read the menu at the till as aware from previous visits that you order on arrival yourself at the counter. Was told by the female counter staff that we had 8 minutes to place our order and to take the menus to the table. We did this. Then when we said excuse me to the same member of staff, from our table, that we’d like to order, we were told we had to come back to the till. This made no sense whatsoever. From the moment we stepped in and were told that we had 8 minutes to order should have been the red flag I guess. Friday afternoon, not long till closing, they just didn’t want to be bothered prepping two rounds of food, The two members of staff in the premises had the worst attitude and no ounce of personality to be in the role that they are in. Every thing seemed to be a complete bother. May I also add, the food was very skimp, re portion sizes plus they seem to care more about the presentation than the food itself re the logo branded paper underneath the food. Try attempting to cut sourdough bread on this, not easy unless you want a mouthful of paper. Then when it comes to hot drinks, no sugar or milk provided. Yet again had to approach the till and ask for these to be provided with milk in a paper cup yet another couple had a glass jug of milk on their table (less dishes to wash I guess) and no white sugar at all, had to make do with brown sugar for tea. When asked for refills of hot water we were given a half full glass of this and then when asked for it to be filled up, yet again a whole botheration. Oh and don’t even get me started on the toilet facilities. Dingy to say the least. The premises in portstewart should never have reopened when it did as Lost and Found, previous owner/cafe was far more superior in all ways. Will not be back"
