"Let's start with the cocktails. in ordering our drinks it quickly became clear that certain spirits were not included in our classic cocktails. When I broke up with the personal, he told me they didn't add it. I'm not funny, but if they take a classic cocktail that has a very simple and well-known recipe and they only take one of the ingredients, can it still be called? it changes the whole taste and is quite misleading as they actually sell. I know the times have been hard lately and I have heard of cutting corners, but I wonder how many others they are simply not all alcohol ingredients to supplement. we sat in the garden area and it is so dirty, so there was a furious little friend around the make shift kitchen area. there are also acquitted eating and mr. ratte had free running. it is not helped that the bins directly at the seat area no screen or something and a quite noticeable smell. Unfortunately, my friend had already ordered a burger so that we decided to ask ourselves only that it is because we were not out of date, to stay and that was the cherry on the top of the disappointment. because somewhere that makes itself great on his burgers, what we have received, was shameful, and I don't even think that our furious friend of this monstrosity even tried one bit. they don't waste their time here unless they enjoy disappointment. hopefully they will get the purer soon or at least start to pay a reasonable reward. poor show"

Easily the best cocktails in Salisbury, very helpful and knowledgeable staff and a great variety of drinks, the burgers were top notch too.

I refer to the outside, it's quite modern inside. a big cocktail bar as pub, but I still found an ale to my pleasure. no low-alcohol and non-alcoholic zider or lagers, but the barman made a brilliant **** for my wife.

Visited with friends for cocktails and sat safely outside. Precautionary measures were in place and there was full table service. The cocktails were delicious and staff were friendly and helpful and we would definitely return and recommend to others.

Tough to fault. Just popped in for cocktails as recommended on Trip Advisor. Two for a tenner. A couple of rounds. Staff were great, Layla especially helpful, service with a smile. Lovely outside courtyard to sit in, hundreds of foliage around us! We thoroughly enjoyed...an hour’s respite here. Thank you!

Found this bar after level another one in Sailsbury was quite living up to expectations. Without a reservation we were seated and looked after well. Paula was the waitress for the evening. Helpfully friend and polite for the whole visit. Very attentive and could not...ask for better service. Jay the young lady on the bar was amazing. Such good cocktails. Meet with Chris the manager very friendly. Would highly recommend this pub. Covid compliant without losing the atmosphere . Well done guys keep up the good work! See you soon

came here after reading the reviews on trip advisor and it was not disappointed. the staff was very friendly and helpful. ordered a burger with cheese, and when she came with rosemary frits the burger was amazing! boiled and perfectly flavored. so many places to do. burger with allies of extras, but here they let the burger speak for themselves (although there are many extras that you have on it) the rosmarinfries were also very good it was the let size, not so big that they bloated, but great enough that they felt satisfied. if they want a burger in salisbury, then it's absolutely here!

Fun visit with a group of friends on a Saturday night. Immediately disappointed when, having craft in the name and on the building, found not much in the way of craft beer. No changing selection, nothing of any real interest, Beavertown Gamma Ray was the...best on offer. That said, we stayed for a few, the staff were very friendly and we had food. As a recent convert to vetarianism, had their Hippy Shack vegan burger which was incredibly good. I honestly thought we'd been served meat, but not so. Our friends' beef burgers were also excellent too. In summary, great burgers but lots of room for improvement if the name craft is intended to describe the beer.

We only had one night in Salisbury but we were so glad we tried the Craft Bar. Super friendly staff headed up by Chris, but also with the sort of other customers you feel comfortable with. Cocktails were excellent but for us the smashed burgers...with rosemary fries were the star of the night. Really simple perfectly seasoned (you can choose more toppings) but done really well. Big but not to big to pick up and thank god no skewer or cocktail stick trying to hold it all together. There are so many hipster burger bars out there claiming this and that, but I don't think you'll find one that beats these. All in all very good value. Will be very tempted to make a detour when ever passing salisbu...

"The best thing about our experience was the telephone booking for a special lunch. Lovely, friendly, helpful person who noted that it was my wife’s 50th and would pass this on so the staff could ensure that this would be a great and memorable occasion.Lovely day, the sun shining, and the setting glorious – but the moment we entered, things were not as anticipated – a “matter of fact” greeting, perhaps acceptable in an ordinary 3 star hotel, but little warmth – a vague, “who are you?” from the maître d’ on entering the restaurant, as if we were intruding on their comfortably empty dining room and they would be called to work – and a rather “take it or leave it” from the waitress, though we did get an embarrassed smile on one occasion – the only smile we received all lunchtime. The menu was rather unexciting – I ought to have looked on line first Very little range, though lunches probably don’t have a resident chef at that time of day, so that might limit the available options: baguette, beetroot tartare with rice, burger, black bean burger, fish and chips tarted up with “Iford cider”, tagliatelle, a gnocchi, sirloin steak, and a “superfood salad” with choice between chicken breast, smoked salmon, and tofu. We opted for the latter, one chicken, two salmon, and added 3 extra sides (great idea with us choosing pork belly, polenta chips and gougère. Having taken our order we were told, “sorry, there’s no gougère,” so we chose the “crispy calamari” instead. For drinks we chose the local Kettlesmith beer, which I enjoy anyway, and an alcohol free Pink Negroni. The latter arrived and was so alcoholic it could well have made our driver fail a breath test on the spot – maybe that was why we were billed £11.50 for the replacement, an unadorned, ungarnished glass, mainly of ice cubes that rapidly melted into a warm alcohol-free wishy-washy liquid I suppose we should not have expected too much of an alcohol free cocktail, normally of gin and vermouth .. but what was quite unacceptable was that the thin strip of orange peel that had enhanced the original, probably quite lovely cocktail, was absent and no one had bothered to replace it, not even with a sprig of mint!Well, maybe the food might make up for it? No such luck. The attractive, large ceramic bowls were generously filled with a range of leaves, but the kale, hard and chewy as kale at the end of a hard winter, (or a mature chard) failed in a desperate attempt to masquerade as tender. The chicken dumped atop was bland, with any taste poached out of it, and the salmon was just ordinary farm-bred, cheap supermarket salmon. I loved the pork belly – could have had a full plate of that! – but the polenta chips were pretty mushy under a tasteless crumbly, far from crispy cover, and the replaced calamari a disaster – far from “Crispy”, they drooped into a bowl, batter hanging off, and the cooking oil that welled at the bowl apex typified the lacklustre attention of the kitchen, examples of whom waddled in and out with shoulder-burdened posture and bored, inattentive facial expressions that seemed to typify the rest of the on duty staff on what should have been a happy celebrative half-a-century birthday – an occasion that not one member of staff had even bothered to acknowledge! The setting is a typical local Jacobean building with Victorian additions and a lovely green countryside overview. The garden has a few choice plants, shrubs and trees but could have been cared for more attentively. The view from the restaurant needed more care and a bit of back-bending weeding. The restaurant was tired and disappointing, but the architecture holding up the ceiling glass was imaginative and the lighting, if needed, would have been exciting. Perhaps the brown-edged, ailing leaves on the table and wall plant decorations were typical of this establishment’s attitude to making what should have been a joyful occasion into one that made us never, ever want to grace it with our presence again."
