China House - Menu

I am a vegetarian so there aren't many options. I was unsatisfied with my plate and the prices were a bit too high for what you get.

Back to try my former love. Super nice staff , amazing Asian food. Combination of Nem springrolls, crispy beef, shrimps, sate and fried rice and Tsingtao to finish: great!

I had the satay beef and it was ok, very flavorful. But the menu lacked some more authentic dishes. Loved the tea, but they could add some more options, and more sauce options too. Missed the hot oil I usually add to my chinese food. I liked it, but it's not really authentic.

We stopped for dinner while walking around Vevey on a Friday evening, but was surprised to see so few people in the restaurant. I would consider the food not better than average and a bit expensive for the quality. There are a few tables outside along the street and ample parking very close by. The service was rapid and efficient.

Good food and good price. The restaurant design is tack.. and what your steps red lights shine what dangerous can be that steps. Very familiar and low coast, the food is not greasy like all Chinese food and the staff are nice but little cold in the mood. There's not so many places to eat dinner in Vevey this can be a good option. for who doesn't want to spend money in a casual Chinese Restaurant.

Although food was good quality the food portions are very , very small. We politely highlighted the issue of small portions to the waiting staff but poor attention to customer service the restaurant fail to take any action to correct the situation so we left the restaurant hungry ! After visiting many restaurants we believe the China House (Vevey) serves the most miserable small portions in the region !!!

The restaurant is very simple, but having frequently traveled to Asia, I can say there is no doubt this is a great place if you want to enjoy great quality Chinese food and service. Food is not only excellent, but its quality remains constant over time. I have been there for many years, 4 or 5 times a year. Their staff sometimes do not speak very good French, but the service is much better than in most so-called higher class restaurants in Vevey. Highly recommended.

After a long day of travel from the U.S. I enjoyed a late dinner here with my brother and his son, who live in Vevey. The resturant was my brothers choice. I had the Curry Poulet Rouge and rice. I enjoyed my meal, it was tasty and portions were just right. I was full and didn't need a take home container. Staff was friendly, French speaking and attentive. Meal for 3 was around $80 franks. Although I cant compare with other Chinese resturants in the area, I was happy with the choice here for my first meal in Vevey and would recommend it to others.
