"Chilli Street Kitchen in Ludwigshafen opened in May 2016, serving a mixture of Thai and Vietnamese dishes. Its premises are airy with an open kitchen, and it is conveniently located on the other side of Wredestraße 17 (facing main square, enter via Berliner Platz). Doors open at 11.00 hours and I popped in shortly after as I wanted to avoid the lunch crowd.I ordered their much-touted "Ginger-lemongrass lemonade" - for €2.50 (0.3L) you get basically fizzy ginger ale spiked with syrup with hardly any hint of lemongrass in it. Not impressed - a new name or recipe is recommended. My portion of Bo La Lot (€4.50 without rice noodles) was served with some "Nuoc Cham". I thought the little meat parcels had a bit too much shrimp paste in them, which overwhelmed even the bold flavour of La Lot leaves!A visit to a Vietnamese eatery won't be complete without trying their Pho. Chilli Street Kitchen's bowl costs €8.50 and comes with a small selection of fresh herbs. There were plenty of sauces provided for diners to customise their broth.Overall, a satisfactory eat, nothing mind-blowing."

For little money, you get a great meal here. While remembering more of a modern canteen, it is nevertheless highly recommended. It tastes good and is clean. To take away in the box, the food is almost as gifted.

Come back and again when I'm in town, like to come here at lunchtime. Savingly decorated with wooden benches, the food is always freshly tasty especially I love the Vietnamese dishes beside the Thai dishes because you don't get them so often. The service is always friendly, and I have never had to wait long before despite the fresh preparation.

Very recommended. All employees are very friendly and also with a lot of operation you will be welcomed, quickly served and approved. The chili offers a wide selection of Thai dishes. The dishes are also fine. Both the simple fried noodles, as they offer every Asian restaurant, as well as the elaborate dishes were always very flotted and always tasty. Additional requests are also taken into account and implemented. Come every time :

"After a very long time we had to go to Sushi again. We still knew Kaoru, but in the old premises in Q, hidden behind a passage. For a few years the restaurant has been sitting on Goethestraße and has increased. Saturday afternoon, still reserved online. The form asks where to sit. Selected Sushibar. At last, we are here. Be welcomed and I mention the reservation. She points to the bar, but at the same time says that we can sit where we want. There was enough space everywhere. Probably she was watching our asking looks when we saw the sushibar. After all, we still had the bar with waterway in front of us....This was always the attraction of the Kaoru that the ships were on one way over and could be operated. There was also a bit of overash effect. We had experienced it before. All right, so we sat at the bar. With the back to the street and in front of us the chefs prepared eager sushi. The ingredients are behind curved glass. The cooks served, depending on what they needed. Something interesting. We got the menus. Sushi in several variants are available. Dessert. Beer. We took all warm Sake and Asahi beer. I tried the Rainbow Roll, 8 reels with tuna, salmon, cancer, white fish. The Maki Set and the Beginner Set were ordered. Price between 10 and 18.50 Euro. When ordering, I asked if there is no more waterway. Unfortunately no, she said, and regretted it very much. After the reasons, we didn't ask them. The drinks came to the place. The Sake was very warm. The sushi came very soon after, at the same time for everyone. It looked appetizing and actually like the picture on the map. It tasted good too, all right. The payment was then somewhat lengthy, because none of the services were to be seen or it appeared only briefly between the tables. It's been a little. A family came in when we left. The first question of the great son to serve: have you changed? He also missed the waterway...."
