This was our last dining out the experience before lockdown part So we took the advice of our children that highly recommended Chez Mumtaj as the Best of its kind. So Pleased to report we could not have enjoyed it more ;

we haven't been in chez mumtaj for a few years and were really happy to see that the quality of food has not fallen. my wife had a nice juicy duck and my lamb was super have knocked off a few stars because the service was a little haphazard. we were first placed on the wrong table and had to move, and we had to ask more than once for fresh table water. the service was very polite.

My partner and I went to Chez Mumtaj, which is our favourite restaurant we spent our first day there in September We were given our favourite table. The food was outstanding as usual. The service was first class. The rice arrived a little late so we were given two glasses of champagne to apologise. I wish them well during these trying times, and pray they will still be running when the COVID is in the past. Voir le carte

his place serves the best Indian I have had and I don't say that lightly. I really enjoyed my evening here. The dish portions were spot on, and the food was unbelievably tasty. As for the restaurant itself, the staff are lovely, all chatty and very friendly and the atmosphere was buzzy but no loud. If you go, I recommend the Duck Samosas and the Chicken Biryani. My husband had the Lamb Rogan Josh and love it.

We deliberately went early on a Sunday night, and were the first there. Ambiance built nicely as more diners arrived. Staff were very attentive, engaged and helpful throughout. We had the tasting menu three starters in one, wide selection of main dishes (served at the same time, rather than having many small courses) and desert all delicious and beautifully presented. Excellent experience for a birthday treat especially as it was our first post-lockdown.

our restaurant in shire. incredible service, beautiful atmosphere and the French cuisine is never less than stunning. tonight our amuse beech came in the form of a mini chicken kebab with tamarindensauce, perfectly spicy enough tickling the tonge. for beginners I shared the mixed seafood plate, with a juicy grilled king prawn, super soft salmonticka and sesame heavy fish, all with swirling and artful beats of accompanying chutneys, sauces and sounds (including crispy purple mini peppered tweezers! . but as always, the showtoffer was my main beautifully boiled to pink perfection, this hunk of buttery soft stealing with carrots, pommes fondant, celeriac puree veal jus, all topped with crispy s...
