The service at this restaurant was top-notch, earning a solid 4 rating. The atmosphere was also enjoyable, with a cozy ambiance that earned another 4. As for the food, I highly recommend trying the Sunday Carvery and Sunday Roast dishes. They were absolutely delicious and definitely worth a try!

Just been at chequers for lunch. Great food! I had the cold fish platter for starters and the carbonara with chicken. Although the carbonara was with a cream sauce and chicken (so not original) it was very yummy! Service was very friendly! My family and I went here for a carvery that we booked for 11 but 1 person did not come so the manager said due to the fact that it was busy we had to pay for them aswell but there was no people even in there then we had a cake (that we bought from home)and they gave us plates and charged us an additional £2 per head I was appalled by the extra charges they gave and the food was average i would avoid. Staff were very welcoming and friendly towards us and the crazy children we bought with us. Carvery was lovely and the staff even bought out ice cream and a shot for my mum for her birthday! You all made our afternoon very special so thankyou : Kid-friendliness: Staff were more than welcoming to the little ones with us, even let the youngest have a look behind the bar! We love it here! Always such a warm welcome, helpful, smiles and a real can do attitude. We frequent here regulalry and they have adjusted menu's for my mum when she could only have soft foods and made here feel comfortable about her request. This recent trip was for New Years Day roast lunch the carvery is exceptional and the plates HUGE the variety is fantastic with so much choice. The carvery is replenished after every table attends so always full and with all the sauces and wonderful gravy! Cannot reccomend highly enough. A real GEM of a local pub. Voir le carte
