"My family has been frequenting Central Park since it opened a few years ago. The food is consistently delicious and the fresh homemade cakes are to die for! The staff are friendly and attentive, always remembering our preferences and making time for a chat. The menu offers a variety of options and the special boards feature tasty new dishes. The prices are very reasonable. We bring our 9-month-old, who enjoys the children's menu and the highchairs and toys provided for little ones. The restaurant is dog-friendly and offers water for furry friends, with outdoor seating available for nice weather."

My son took me and had the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. I had a lovely piece of carrot cake to go with it. Well worth a visit. Small but perfectly formed. I ate outside as it was a beautiful day.

The restaurant was busy, but the service was slow and the soup was served cold. We mentioned it to the staff and they took it away, but they didn't bring a replacement or offer an explanation. The sandwiches were tasty, but they didn't leave a lasting impression.

We were recommended this cafe. Menu had good choices. Lovely day so sat outside but we didn't realise people would park right in front of the seating (not disabled) on what appeared to be the pavement. Cutlery and glass dirty. Soup was tasteless bread lovely. Didn't have a cake but did look tasty.

If you want a nice, friendly, tasty light lunch in pleasant surroundings, look no further than this place. The menu is limited but the quality is high, parking is easy and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. As a fund-raiser for Ayrshire Cancer Support it is doing it's bit for Kilmarnock as well Go! Visited this cafe numerous times and never been disappointed however this morning for the first time had a takeaway and didn't realize till we got home that 3 bacon rolls had been served in seeded burger buns had I been advised of this I would not have purchased them also 3 half full cups of coffee wonder if this reflected on the fact we were not sitting in the cafe to eat.

Located away from the town center of Kilmarnock, this is a little corner shop cafe that you are sure of a warm welcome and a great cup of coffee. Was in the area with work and was feeling peckish, so stopped by for a coffee and a bacon roll, which were both freshly prepared in no time. Staff are really friendly and prices are excellent. Will most certainly be back again in future.

This coffee shop has a cozy atmosphere and offers ample indoor seating as well as a few tables outside for enjoying sunny weather. I have been here multiple times throughout the day and have always had a great experience. They serve delicious breakfasts and lunches, along with a variety of cakes for dessert, and have a wide selection of coffee options. The staff is very friendly, making it a must-visit spot! Popped in for a lunch and didn’t realise the staff had organised a charity event for a local cancer support group, it was very busy but we managed to find a seat inside and enjoyed our lunch along with all the visitors for the Easter charity event. We enjoyed our coffees, teas and panini‘s, we found the staff to be attentive and friendly, food quality was good and price reasonable, definitely be back, well done everyone and hope you raised a lot of money for a great cause !

Visited Central Park today, to take part in a charity event organised by the owner. A great family Easter event which helped raise funds for Ayrshire Cancer Support. Absolutely cracking day and all staff were lovely with my young family. We had some time before the event to have some lunch and it was superb. Would thourougly recommend this Cafe to anyone visiting or local! Nice to see a local business taking an intrest in bringing the community together. Also the Cafe provided free drinks and chocolate to all the children who attended the event, very generous.

"On holiday in the area and found this place online for somewhere to eat. Menu looked great. Arrived and the impression we got with the mess around the building continued indoors. Lady who took us to our table was lovely but then it went downhill again quickly when we were given the menu definitely not what it was online). It was litterly falling apart and only a fraction of what was on the online menu. We ordered food and while waiting 2 women with 5 children came in. Noise from the children was heard as soon as they got to the front door. I don't believe any of the children were at fault as the women didn't try to get them to be just a little quieter they both just shouted louder to hear each other. Both my teenage daughter and I expected the waitress to ask them to maybe just turn the volume down just a little but it turned out she knew them and like the mums she just shouted louder to be heard! Food arrived hot. Steak pie was very tasty but pizza was the kind I can buy in supermarket for about 50p. Desserts of cheesecake and sticky toffe pudding both tasted odd. We didn't eat them and just left to get away from the noise. I totally understand the staff can't dictate who frequents their establishment but they could ask rowdy customers to lower the volume instead of shouting over them. Food was nothing to shout about and we left wishing we had just stopped at the local chip shop instead"

"The Stables Bistro is located on Dumfries House estate, next to the café and a 5 minute stroll from Dumfries House Lodge. At the time of our visit it was only open on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday lunchtime and therefore to avoid any issues we reserved in advance when we booked a room at the Lodge. The setting is unusual in that the tables are arranged within the “stalls” of the former stables although thankfully they have long since been “mucked out”! The decoration is plain. Our table for two was accommodated in one of the stalls with another couple’s table and there was plenty of room to spare. There were a few groups occupying some of the other stalls giving each party a private space and providing a good atmosphere. There was no dress code and most guests we saw were “smart but casual”. There was a choice of 4 items per course, all freshly prepared to order. I felt as if we could easily try any of the choices however for starters I opted for salmon pillows (stuffed with a trout mousse) whilst my wife had breaded stuffed wild mushroom with salad; for mains I had hake on a bed of spinach assorted vegetables, my wife had chicken with chive mash and vegetables and to finish we shared millionaire shortbread and then the Scottish cheese board. The dishes were all well presented, focussed on quality rather than quantity and were very enjoyable. With only a short stroll to our lodgings we enjoyed a couple of bottles of wine with the meal at around £18 each. Service was pleasant and efficient and our bill was £80, ex tip, but including the wine. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would go back when we next visit Dumfries House. There is a toilet for disabled guests on the ground floor and the main bathrooms (very well maintained) are upstairs where there also appears to be a small function room."
