"Myself and partner visited the restuarant as I know it for years but not been there for years. Anyway, the restuarant was clean and nice. However can I say the food did taste satisfactory like home cooked. we chose the set menu and asked for bread with olive oil and basalico. 1. The waiter gave us french bread stick baguette cut up which was charged at £2.00. This was completely the wrong bread for it- not sour dough bread which is for this pre starter which is what one should get a shame on this establishment and so cheap! 2. First plate : I ordered the pasta with sausage and tomato which was very good, however my partner has the liver pate ' which when brought looked terrible and incredibly poorly presented with 'cheap ' sandwich toasted cut bread. No presentation 3. Second plate : Chicken with cream tomato sauce was ok but the vegetables where again poorly presented and just boiled. Lacked complete imagination and presentation 4. The head waiter /owner has dirty trousers on serving customers! 5. Coffee: coffee after meal was poor compared and was not kimbo or lavazza 6. The bill including 2 × set menus, only one large of sparking water, 2 small coffees and bread plus 12.5 service charge was £50 for two people no alcohol or desert 7. Coffee cups were dirty and not washed properly and had been missed Summary Casa mia served us ‘Hospital standard’ cooked food that is satisfactory but lacked imagination in presentation to almost over cooked, non any kind atmosphere, not even italian music was played!! Come on?? Staff presentation was satisfactory and food passable to be edible. Honestly there are better places in east Moseley village to eat for that money and we won 't go back there."

10 of us went for lunch on Saturday to celebrate our 50th anniversary ..good friendly staff. We all enjoyed the three course set meal. I had crayfish starter and veal in wine mushroom sauce plus lemon cheese cake. My husband had calves liver , the pork was also good. Would go again for set menu.

We decided to have a spontaneous lunch on a beautiful sunny day and chose to sit at one of the outdoor tables. The service, food, and wine were all outstanding and provided great value for the price. We have been visiting this restaurant in Molesey for many years and it remains one of our top choices. Thank you, we will definitely be returning.

I had a fantastic Sunday lunch as usual at this restaurant. The mussels to start were the best I've ever had, very large. I then had the skate wing in black butter and capers. The menu is very varied, including house wine, and the service is excellent. This is definitely the best restaurant in the area. Casa Mia also offers an excellent Sunday roast if you're looking for something more traditional.

This was third visit to Casa Mia after a day out at Hampton Court. Food was excellent value. We had the three course meal for £19.95. Pasta starter delicious and followed it by very tender calves liver with tasty veggies. Was really too full for pud but couldn't say no. It was all washed down with a very reasonable rose. Service was friendly and I'd say most diners were regulars from the surrounding area. Voir le carte

Yes this is old school but all really well cooked and at a very reasonable price backed up by friendly and attentive service. I’ve knocked off a star as first impressions count so they should repair the broken glass that shows the menu at entrance (been like that for ages) and also give out nicer looking menus than the smeared ones we had which look like something from a cross channel ferry. But overall really like this place, thanks for nice evening.

Was staying in the area for a few nights and after looking at reviews we decided to try casa Mia, we had a great welcome and our needs we very much taken care of, as we asked to change one of our dishes to suit our taste, this was no problem. Food and service was lovely. My only fault that was after spending nearly £100 for 2 of us there was no offer of a limoncello or other complimentary drink, this was very disappointing and actually stopped me from giving 5*.

Second visit, after a gap of 3 years, on way back from Wimbledon. Very welcoming staff and good to see the same team still in place. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and several tables of obvious regulars came in during the course of our meal adding to the convivial atmosphere. Food was excellent and can particularly recommend the lasagne and the veal chop in sage. The French beans were beautifully cooked too and the garlic bread is fantastic. We’ll be going again for sure Voir le carte

5 of us had a lovely meal here. Nice round table with white table cloth, lovely cutlery and air conditioning on a baking hot day was very welcome. We went for the set menu and it was great with good portions especially the deserts. Someone had sardines off the specials menu which she said were very nice, House white wine was lovely we had two bottles and coffee to finish. The service was excellent and the bill was £31 per head which was very reasonable for the area. Will definitely come again.

This was our first time dining at this restaurant, and from the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. The staff was friendly, and the little touches like taking our coats and letting us choose our table were a nice touch. The food was delicious, with a great selection of pasta and main dishes that were perfectly cooked and presented. Though we usually skip dessert, the ones we saw being served to other tables looked amazing. We found the prices to be reasonable, especially the house wine at £16 a bottle, which was excellent value. Although we didn't try it, the set menu seemed like a good choice as well. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant again very soon.

"Obon: a petit Japanese udon restaurant that supplies a sense of Japan that cannot be found anywhere else in the whole of the Uk. (5 stars) Location: Obon is located close to the heart of Kingston but the road it’s on is considerably quieter. You must make sure to have a basic knowledge of Kingston in order to find an area to park and to also make sure you leave yourself enough time, taking the unpredictability of the traffic into acount. Even on a week day there can be traffic jams which can put a halt to your plans and due to the small amount of customers Obon can take its important that you not only book but make sure that you arrive at the agreed booking time. With this being said the staff are all lovely so if you are running late, a quick call is all that is required to just give Obon a chance to understand your position. The food: The array of exquisitely prepared sashimi will be sure to create the sensation that you are in a top Japanese restaurant in japan and the flavour of the fish does not fail to match expectations, which will be very high after just one glance at your meal. The fish is delicately seasoned and practically melts on your tongue, this causes a lovely sensation and is genuinely the finest sushi I have tasted in the uk and even matches a lot of the top restaurants in japan. On top of just the traditional types of sushi, which to many is maki rolls Obon also offers many other delicious options such as soft shell crab and even Unagi don, which I must highly recommend due to it consistently being the highlight of my meal. For those of you that were interested in the quality of the basic Japanese dishes such as miso soup or edamame they do not fail to leave you in grand anticipation for what is to come for they are, simply speaking, incredibly good. The miso, in my opinion, is truly remarkable and creates a lasting feeling of warmth throughout your entire body, on top of that it is far superior to other miso’s that I have tasted in all other areas of the world. Overall the quality of the food is something you would expect from a world famous Michelin star restaurant and if you want Japanese food it’s the only place I can recommend. The Restaurant: The restaurant itself is small but authentic in nature and because it only has a enough tables to host around 20 people at the most, the service is exceptionally good and your food is always out quickly so you will not be left hungry for very long. The staff are kind and friendly. And it’s always an enjoyable experience being waves goodbye as you leave the restaurant. You’re also able to watch as they prepare the food, which for some could be entertaining. There are Japanese photos scattered around the room and this further creates an authentic feel. The atmosphere is not lively but it is a restaurant and not a bar so is an ideal location if you are wanting high quality food. With this being said it is still a great place to go with friends and I consistently am able to have a great time no matter the occasion. Price: Obviously, the price of the food is always an important topic to come to and despite the cost of the sushi being slightly higher than you may expect from a small restaurant in Kingston, I would have to say that for the quality of the food it is ultimately a bargain. For three people, you would be spending around £100 so it isn’t cheap but you can go for cheaper types of food such as udon, which is still amazing quality and won’t set you back as much money. Overall: Obon is still my favourite restaurant in the whole of the Uk and is perfect for a special occasion but it isn’t the sort of place you’d go for a casual night out. The food is beyond incredible and thus they can cater for both children and adults by meeting every bodies needs. For anybody that enjoys sushi, I would urge you to give it a go, you won’t regret it"
